1.
I have one of these and another USA Standard P with a very similar serial number. The necks are HUGE clubs. As big as any Precisions you will come across. Makes 'em harder to play ...... but the effort is worth it as I'm sure that the neck is what gives it HUUUUUUUGE clank and rumble. Precision tone in spades. If you need a precision, get your money out and buy this bass.
the neck on mine is far from HUGE....its cute and fast!!!!!!!
  2.
Purchased one of these last week off fellow BC member elcastillian, great basses and yes not many produced, production ran from 1999 to 2002. Possible collectors in years to come....
you sure? I have a USA one too and it has a 2003 serial

    samuel

traded with Samuel - although he cancelled at the last minute the 1st time, which was annoying but understandable when you not sure about parting with a 'loved one', however, he set up a new trade deal the very next day to which we both agreed and each drove 65 miles (half way) and did a mutually agreeable deal. He was a nice guy, and I had no problems when we eventually did hook up!

  6.
She really is a beauty mate, unfortunately I've got nothing worthy of offering, best of luck with your quest though!
you never know...what you got??
  7.
Wow, she's a stunner. 10 magic beans?
thanks for the offer, but they give me wind something rotten! .....and nobody wants magic wind...
  8.
any shots of the LEDs? this is verging on pornography
difficult to photograph, but here you are........
  9.
MM Stingray with Status neck 5 str
hmmm - interesting
  10.
LEDs are a bit ostentatious for me though, I look like a tramp I can't have a superstar bass guitar. Were you joking about it taking 4 batteries by the way?
wasn't joking, but was a bit misleading. The bass only needs 1 x 9volt to play like most other active basses, but the lights need 3 x 9volt batteries. Not sure how long continuous use lasts but the switch on the front of the bass turn em on and off, and you obviously don't need them that often. Even on a gig, if you in a dark moment just switch em on - brill!!
  11.
The only thing I would swap my '91 Thumb for is a five string '91 Thumb. Great basses.
sounds like you need the 5 as well!!
  12.
any shots of the LEDs? this is verging on pornography
i might put pix some up, may be difficult to photograph - but just to tease you,,,the dots are bright red, and the octaves are two dots of bright green x 2 octaves. 26 frets BTW all the up to hi A above the 2nd octave
  13. yeah I saw yours...blimey......just like London Red buses - wait for ages then two at once.
  14.
Does this bass need 2 9V batteries?
nope! it needs 4!! you heard it here first folks!
  15. bah..humbug! at least that's what it looks like to me...hahaha! that's a free 'bump' for ya!
  16. I'm all bassed up so got I've got no preferences particularly: this is above and beyond my needs so I'm entirely open about it. Hopefully you guys know the value of a 91 'Thumb', so offerings should tally...dont mind a cash either way deal..whatever... probably gonna reject a few so no offence . apologies in advance..ok!!
  17. Gra' bought my flametop P bass. He sent the money to my Paypal account - a considerable amount of trust involved there as he didn't know me from Adam. Plus, he had to rely on my description and photos of the bass. The deal went nice and smooth, he loved the bass, as I knew he would. So a great buyer, a trusting and trustworthy guy. PS: sorry I am so late with the feedback
