1. top bloke - a bit late with my feed back - only just realised it was here
2. hi folks! Just like to do some feedback for Warren the bassninja We traded basses the other day -29th Oct 2011. We met in a carpark outside a B&Q like a couple of shifty drug dealers we checked eachothers instrument in the back of his car - not an innuendo - who do you think we are? - anyway - cool geezer - cool bass - cool deal and I recommend him as someone trustworthy to deal with!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. hey!! found a dry joint on the switch..... luckily ...fixed it...!! Keep the post going for anyone else with the same problem. re the optic verses LED - your right, I had a thumb way way back, and I remember a tiny flashlight light bulb that drove the optics. There's no light source in the the body of this bass so it has to be LED's.
4. may be leds, or optical fibres - not sure. Acquired the bass recently. Has battery box just for the lights. 3x9v ...yes that's right 3... I know...! anyway, they don't work. There's a toggle switch in the main control cavity which is supposed to turn them on, and when I tug gently on the battery wires I can follow them. They go under the p'ups and into the main cavity, then they disappear down a hole somewhere. anyone with experience on getting these going - would appreciate any advice offered before contacting Warwick. thanks in advance!!!!!!!
5.
o christ i want this.... would have to wait till the next pay check though.. keep me informed if its still about at the end of November cheers
hi, had a lot of interest. May trade this evening (29th Oct) - watch this space
6. i bought my Peavey mkIII new back in the 80's. Its been round the world with me about 3 times. serviced it once in its lifetime, had to put a new power switch on it. Always used it through a 350 watt 4ohm 2x10 Peavey cab. Brilliant sound, powerful dynamic, reliable, and kickass - I still cant understand why they aren't the most sought after collectable amp. Trace Elliots are prettier, but cuddly poodles compared too these babies!! I love my mine - still have it - still use it!!
7.
any interest in a trade for my immaculate 5 sting Gibson Les Paul (bart pickups and preamp)? Cheers
Hi Gareth, thanks for the offer, I bet its a cool bass but not my cup of tea, thanks all the same, good luck!
8. congrats!! - blimey - that was epic!! someone got a good deal!!
9. i know why you cant sell it!! You've put it up so cheap they all think there's something wrong with it. Do yourself a favour, put it back to £650. That's still cheap and bugger them if they don't want it at that price. Besides, the worst scenario for you is, if you don't sell it your stuck with one of the best basses Fender have ever made. In fact its probably better than the Marcus' original bar the pre amp, and the standard one is pretty hot anyway!! this is a gratuitous bump for ya !!
10. I don't get it, how come nobody is snapping this up at this give away price?? This costs almost £1200 on line and even more in the high street! Its a 75 RI bass with beautiful block n bound neck with micro tilt adjustment - one of the hottest sounding basses out there - with a passive option that lets the vintage USA p'ups sing...and the easiest instrument to adjust to personal specifications. I'm at a loss....it must be really tough out there - I was selling one too, but wouldn't go as cheap as this. I've withdrawn mine, as I felt like I was giving it away at £650 let alone £550 for this one - don't call till this is sold!!!!!! you're all bonkers
11.
Current speed issues are totally unrelated to your bandwidth. The server is being hammered at the moment converting and moving old threads/PMs/attachments etc so once that's done - it should be faster.
cool - !
12.
Likewise on all points.
yep ...me 2!! slooooooowwww!
13.
I never knew you could title them! - I've always used the HTML code. Was I missing something horridly obvious!?
sure- set up any link, then it would default with 'visit my website' which you could change to anything you wanted - cant find it on the new format tho'
14.
You need to use the Full editor. That should (used to) let you edit the title.
thanks for that...obvious really....doh! What about the links thingy? cant title them like we use too?
15. how can I edit the title of a post? eg: when a bass is sold or the conditions have changed. I cant seem to find a way of editing the 'title' as the 'edit option' seems to only allow change to the content. please advise...thanks BTW: and what about titling a link has that option also gone? Do you have to know HTML code to do it?
16. home made 4 string and Customized USA Fender 5 as a match! (see more pix and info in my 'just showing off' post) http://basschat.co.uk/topic/125756-my-home-made-jazz-just-showing-off/] John East preamps. The fiver has the Marcus preamp mounted on a bell plate. Barts on the '4' along with personalized logo and neck plate. The fiver is a respray of course.

19. maybe i'll get used to it eventually! i guess you guys put a lot of effort into it, so thanks for that!!!!!!!!!!!!1
20. must just be me then --- dont like it!! - i'll get on with it anyway I guess
21. arrrggggggggggg! never had that many emails before- turned off all the notifications - shame you had to repair something that wasn't broke! I preferred the old site much more than this - lets face it - this site aint so important to anyone that we need multiple ways to connect to it. aaarrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh!
22. miss the 'zero' or 'new messages' in the top right of page - is that gonna be there or do I have to go to my messages now to see if I have any new ones?
23.
Interested in a swap for my immaculate black 1997 Gibson Les Paul 5 string (active, bart p'ups and pre amp)? Cheers
thanks for the offer, but not into Gibson basses!
