5.
This is handy to know. I might give you a bell and drop over to Southend sometime
please do....you're not just a number !
 6.
These basses are fantastic. I've ended up selling all of my other basses now and kept my Sterling. So light compared to my previous SR5 & Yamaha BB1025. Makes long wedding.function gigs a breeze now
yeah...it's difficult for me. I'm selling two basses, if the other goes 1st I'll probably keep this,I know I'll regret selling it..this one is pretty too
 7. on my fenders with the J retro preamp I've installed a micro toggle switch to isolate the battery. You have to remember to turn the volume down before using it to avoid the 'thump'. I prefer that to having a lead hanging loose & having to turn down the amp which is a double pain after a sound check. You soon get used to turning down the volume first. Another great thing is, if you use the bass in passive mode, I switch the battery off because it's still powering the amp even though it's not in use. If you decide to do it: use the switch to break the hot wire, It's the negative wire that breaks at the jack socket with most preamps so breaking the hot wire totally isolates the battery when the bass isn't in use.
 8. blimey that's cheap...i love this pedal. the compressors on it are excellent for live work. I use it to toggle between a light smoothing imperceptible compressor (for mixed styles, finger and popping etc) and a moderate to high compressor for finger style. Doesn't colour the sound or add noise. Also a brilliant tuner, can be set to mute while tuning, which is great if you're swapping instruments. buy it before he realises he's making a mistake....really...it's cheaper than a a tuner....!!
 9.
Now, if you could convert that to a 4 string for me and make it a PJ I'd have that. Nice bass... really. Yes, I mean that. Shonks is reliable to. I mean that too. If any one wants it picked up from darkest Essex and taken to somewhere in the south half of the country, drop me a PM. I might just be able to help out. For the cost of a cuppa and a HobNob or 2.
Thanks Rich.!! popping out now for a packet hobobs...x
 10.
Hi would you be interested in a trade with my G&L Tribute 2500 5 string bass if you are not familiar with them it is a company started by Leo Fender and George Fullerton.I can send pics and more details if you want. Thanks Alan.
I'm selling this cheap but my trade price is higher so I'd want a cash adjustment for a 'Tribute G&L' I'd also prefer to discuss trades via private messaging...thanks

 12.
hi shonks.. thanks a lot!
yw
 13.
Thanks for posting the specs. I have smallish hands, that's why I'm asking. It's stunning. Wish I could try it on for size but I'm Scotland.
The design of the bridge is really cool. the spacing is totally adjustable. I've set it the same as my Fender but it can go claustrophobically narrow too
 14. this goes on Ebay tomorrow....that's why I've put 'on hold'..
 15.
May I ask........what's the nut width on this animal, and how is the neck chunkiness, in comparison to say, a Fender Jazz?
44mm width (Fender JB 47mm). the depth of the neck front to back (at the 1st fret) is 19mm as opposed to my USA 5er Fender JB which is 18mm. Not much in it & barely perceivable if your only judging it freehand.
 16.
how have you still got this Shonks????? people are missing a trick with this one - she's a beaut with a fantastic neck and lovely finish (honey burst is loverly...) have a "my old bass" bump
hi Muddy buddie..!
