1. I remember when you were playing at Fields Of Gold as well as us last year, and I was asking what bass you were using as the tone was great. I would definitely recommend one of these to anyone and if I was in the market for a bass I’d snap this up.
2. Just bought an EBS speaker from Isaac to pair with one I already had. Being in Brighton, he even took it to Bernie Goodfellow's basement to put it through its paces just to make sure there were no cab rattles, etc. He packaged it incredibly well and posted it the following morning. It arrived the next day (luckily I was rehearsing the same night, so took it with me). It sounds fantastic, and all included, it was a great deal. He has been a pleasure to deal with throughout, and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone thinking of doing a deal with him.
3. Hi Dan I’m interested and thinking about postage etc? What’s the possibility and any cost? Cheers Pete
4. I bought an EBS Microbass 2 from Ian a month ago. The item was perfectly as described and as shown in the photos. Ian was a pleasure to deal with, sent the package straight after I transferred the payment (really well packaged too!), and also sent me photos of it along with the receipt with tracking number on. Great communications and I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to anyone else.
5. OK that's fine. I'll take it. Can you message me your bank details and I'll sort the payment out and the postal address. Cheers.
6. Just a couple of questions..... Is it still available? Does it include a power supply? How much for postage to Manchester? Cheers
7. Would you mind me asking where you purchased them from?
8. That is yet again, another stunning piece of work by Bernie!
9.
I really like your playing man...you're not too loud.
Now that is a compliment
10. One of my favourites was when I was depping with a friend's band at a place called Jak's in Liverpool. At the end of the night, a guy came over and told me how much he enjoyed my bass playing. I've never considered myself to be anything better than a jack of all trades, master of none. So I nonchalantly just said "thanks very much" and engaged in conversation with him, expecting him to be just a punter. It turns out he was the bass tutor in a University in Liverpool. My estimation of myself suddenly rose a few levels. It's made me realise I should be grateful for the praise, regardless of who it comes from. It's nice to know that whatever I've done has had an impact on someone, no matter how little.
11. Some of Simon's work with the Paul Birchall Trio http://www.reverbnation.com/paulbirchalltrio
12. I didn't see it, but he played with the Paul Birchall Trio at the Manchester Jazz Festival. A guy I know did the PA there. In the Bridgewater Hall I think. Very impressive bass player.
13. If I had the cash, I'd rip your arms off for it. Wanted one exactly the same as this a few years ago but none were floating around. Bugger.
14. 1. My sister fancied Alan Longmuir of the Bay City Rollers - so it made me notice "the guitar with only 4 knobs" 2. Bruce Foxton - his sound blew me away. Still does. 3. My first band didn't have a bass player, so I bought myself one and taught myself to play it.
15. Apparently it's "not perfect"
16. Yeah he used a JD at some point, as I remember them playing a set on The Tube many years ago (at the time of Radio Musicola) and he used one on that.
17. I probably say this every time Stuart posts something for sale, but he really is an absolutely 100% genuine good bloke, and you can buy from him with absolute confidence. I only bought a set of strings from him a few years ago, and we've kept in touch ever since!! Good luck with the sale, they're fantastic basses. Still wish I had mine. And that Blueburst is a stunning finish.
18. I went for one of these when they changed distributors in the UK and there was a sale on. All the 6ers had been sold, so I got a 5er instead. Kept it for years, and only sold it a couple of years ago. Stunning basses.
