1. Update: Yet another price drop. One of us must have a guitarist that would love this excellent piece of guitar kit. See dropped prices in my OP.
2. Andy.....Andy.....Andy...... Why do this to me???? As I've mentioned once or twice before, I was in Bernie's basement the day before you collected it, and he played it through the rig that I eventually walked out of the shop with. It sounds absolutely stunning!!! Right.......I'm off down to hell to sell my soul to the devil.....I'll be back (hopefully)!!
3.
I like it. Honestly.
+1 Oddly
4. Bloody hell, can't believe this is still here. Beautiful looking, and a wonderfully versatile bass.
5. Haven't read through any of the thread, but my answer to the initial question is...... .....is he bollocks.
6. I might be wrong but it looks more like a G&L to me
7. I've got a sunburst model, and it's a great versatile bass. In all honesty, the natural/maple would have been my preferred finish. I just love natural basses. Good price too. Surprised nobody's bought it yet.
8. Love my TD650. Fantastic amp.
9. I have a Stingray 4 as my main bass, and I play everything from rock (both fingers and plectrum) to soul to slap and it does them all. So I would imagine a 5 string Stingray would be great. I also have a G&L L-2500 Tribute and they can get you sounds from Precision to Jazz to Musicman all from one bass at half the price of the Stingray, but for more than half the quality. So it depends on what your budget it, but I would urge you to try both.
10. Enjoyed the track. I always did like Art of Noise considering they were predominantly an "keyboard/samples" type of band. That performance was hardly the most exhilarating though. Lacklustre at best.
11. Nice work there Keith. Looks smart for a smaller bodied singlecut. That 5 string really is bloody beautiful though
12. I used to play Broken Wings in a band many years ago. Played it with an Octaver, did all the drum and hand clap bits inbetween lines with my mouth, and sang the really high bit too. God did I have my work cut out!
13. A bit late I know, but we're playing tonight, Friday 17th July at Lloyds Hotel, Chorlton, Manchester @ 9pm. Free entry. Feel free to come along for a few beers and introduce yourself. Cheers all, Pete.
14.
Go for the band thing defiantly....
Sorry, but the misspelling in this just made me laugh..... "Can I join your band?" "Yes, you're in" "Well, you can bugger off, how dare you ask me to join" etc. etc.
15. Hi John, Welcome to Basschat. What a beautiful collection of basses you have there mate. That Jaydee is probably about the nicest I've seen. Well done there fella.
16. Well done that man! Good on ya.
17.
ooo now theres a thing will try out mr Wonder. sometimes i cant see wood fo trees
Sir Duke definitely does it for me. I know everyone brings up James Jamerson, but "Darling Dear" by The Jacksons is just majestic. Good luck nailing that one.
18. Absolutely loved that. Cheers
19. Probably about a year ago, I wasn't a fan at all of singlecuts, but I'm liking them more and more. Than one absolutely nails it for me. Absolutely gorgeous.
