this is typical.......I was looking for one of these earlier in the year. I waited a couple of months for one to come up..nothing, so I bought a 74 Jazz with the money (plus some more off my Mum). Now I don't have the spare money, one comes up for sale at a reasonable price. GAS - I hate you!! Good luck with the sale!
I love this Band..... really different from the rest and know how to put on a proper show!!
Agree. Jamareo Artis is one hell of a player too.

We've recently bought a JBL PRX Active system - 2 x 615M mid hi's and 2 x 618 XLF subs. Its awesome but around £4k. Some friends have bought the slightly cheaper HK Premium Pro 1 tops and 18 subs. That is closer to your budget I think and having heard it recently, I was very impressed.

Rick bought my VT bass pedal a couple of weeks back. It was a simple, easy and pleasant transaction and he was good enough to cover the paypal fees. Deal with Rick with confidence. Cheers.

not technically last night, but sunday night. We played the final night of a Harley Davidson weekend in Shipley, Nr Bradford. There were about 300 bikers there for the long weekend and we closed the event on sunday night. Big marquee, used the new JBL PRX active system (which was great) and played a mix of covers - from 'Killing Floor' through to 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered, to 'Like a Rolling stone' and 'Starman' - right old mix. They all loved it, though it got a bit mental when a couple of guys rode their Harleys into the Marquee and around the dancefloor, doing rear wheel burnouts in front of the stage - smoke and fumes everywhere!! They want us back to do the sat night next year so that'll be interesting!

SOLD SOLD SOLD [s]For sale is my immaculate condition Tech 21 VT bass.[/s] If you know what these are then you need read no further - http://www.gak.co.uk...CFYWz3godmH4AAw If you don't, it's pretty much all that is good in classic Ampeg tones, without the weight and expense. It is unmarked virtually. Comes in the original metal tin with instructions. I bought it used off a friend on here.....Mr Amadeo, about a year or so ago. It's not been used since I bought my Aguilar TH500 back in January as I just don't feel I need it anymore. I also have a Sans Amp Bass driver, so If I ever do feel I need the 'extra push over the cliff', I'm sorted! I'm asking for what I paid - that's £90 posted within mainland UK. Here's a dodgy phone pic of it........http://s1341.photobu...html?sort=3&o=0 Looking for a sale only as the money is to go towards a new P bass. Cheers.

Band PAs - what to get, anyone bought one?
bassintheface replied to Cat Burrito's topic in General Discussion
We've just pulled the trigger so to speak on this as a new system. Mid highs - http://www.jblpro.co...ct.aspx?PId=361 Subs - http://www.jblpro.co...ct.aspx?PId=365 We were fed up of the heavy and cumbersome amp rack with a backbreaking pair of crown power amps, plus crossover. Heavy Adlib mid highs and GAE subs so we've gone for the simpler and lighter option. We also have this desk - http://www.allen-hea...&ProductId=PA28 For bigger gigs, we have a deal with a local PA guy and one of his line array systems with YAMAHA LS9 desk. So here's a +1 for active speakers!! -
Paul has just bought my Silver Series Squier Jazz Bass. We've been emailing for a while, but a family bereavement caused a big delay in us completing the deal. Nevertheless, Paul was patient, left me to deal with the things I needed to sort and then paid me on friday - the courier has just collected the bass from me. A thoroughly nice chap; I hope him and the Squier have a 'fruitful' life together (bad pun Paul - a tedius gardening type link)

location dependent obviously........ locally from £1500, rising to include extra for early set up, adding travel as we go - London is around £2500. Based on 6pm arrival, playing no later than midnight. Inc full decent PA, eng, DJ and good lights. 2 x 60 sets. We're always busy. Abroad depends - we've got something in Middle East for £5k, went to Turkey for £3k. depends on where it is, how busy we are and how much we want the gig.
Not sure why? But fair enough. I would think it's safer for all parties to make offers on the thread - in fact I know of other forums where this is mandatory.
I just rather discussions / negotiations to be done by PM - never even considered why though to be truthful. No problem!!
