1. .the 'L' shaped white tape on the LH side of the cab is just on there from sound engineers placing mic's..........
2. can I get a bump?!! Any interest guys? Can't get much for this sort of money so it is something of a bargain. I will be driving a van down the M40 to Oxford in the next 2 weeks to collect some furniture......I could bring the cab with me..........
3. For sale is my trusty Warwick 410 Pro 8 ohm 4x10 cab. It's about 5 yrs old and I've had it from new. Think it cost me around £480 or similar. It's got a few marks externally but still looks fine and sounds ace. A corner protector or 2 has come loose so I'll replace them. I don't have the castors anymore but it's on rubber feet anyway. It's a great cab and I've never had any issues with it. It's fairly light too - 1 man can lift it on his own with ease. This is the blurb off the Warwick site - http://www.warwick.d...kID=25298&cl=EN My pics aren't close ups - they're what I've had on my phone from gigs - It's been used In Wembley, Old Trafford, Millennium Stadium, Rockfield and more. I can get close ups on sat when I'm next at the studio if needs be. It's located in Wrexham and I'd like you to collect ideally. Pm me anyway and we can sort something..... [s]£130.00 [/s] [s]NOW £110.00 Someone take it from me! A steal!! [/s]NO LONGER FOR SALE No trades or PX's. I'm wanting cash to put towards a Barefaced S12T. Cheers!!
4. Have a bump on me as I have the exact same bass - identical. Mine is a 2002 ish one. Pick up spacing is 60's to confirm. Nice bass.
5. Since 1997 when I started playing, early on say 10 or so a year for a couple of years, then I joined a 'proper' originals band where we were gigging at least twice a week, if not more, had a few years on tour, plus depping etc etc, now last 5 years with busy function band doing around an average of 2 / 3 per week I'm pretty certain I'm well over 1500. Wow. That's just on bass guitar. If I include playing Tuba, from 1994 to present it doesn't bear thinking about!
6. awesome bass. Have a bump on me
7. Bumperoo on this little baby............. offers.........MIJ P bass anyone?
8. depends............if it's a wedding or a corporate, it'll be something like 'swee disposition', 'last night or similar. If it's a 'for fun' pub gig, it'll be something like the band's 'don't do it' or Free's 'I'm a Mover'........
9. sorry to hear that!! Anyone else up for starting a basschat vigilante group??!! catch the crims and subject them to detuned bass at deafening volumes................
10. I've been reading this wih some interest. I'm in a working function band with friends - we were friends before we formed this band. It's run as a proper legit business - I manage pretty much everything. We play decent weddings and large corporate events so need a decent PA. All payments for gigs goes into our partnership account - each month, we get paid less band expenses and a bit of a float. I look after this. We also take a roadie / van driver/ sound engineer with us. His invoices come straight out of the band account also. Our accountant does all of our returns and P&L account etc. We hire a splitter van for gigs and we rent a decent set of 6 speakers (Adlibs and GAE), 2 x power amps, crossover and stagebox off a PA hire company locally. For bigger gigs, we hire in a line array with engineers and an LS9. The costs for all of this comes straight out of 'the band's' earnings and then goes into our accounts to come off our gross earnings at the end of each year. We've just bought a new set of Beta 58's, a D112, some new LED parcans, a desk, outboard, xlrs, stands, flightcases etc etc and we also pay for stage suits, fuel, printing, recording - basically anything associated with the running of and promoting of the business. I play bass only in this band so don't need a vocal mic, and only go in the PA on certain occasions, but for us to sound and look our best, we need this equipment. I wouldn't dream of saying "I'm not contributing as I don't use it". After costs each month, we get paid. Simple really. We couldn't work if we didn't have the gear. If one of us leaves, we will just pay them out 25% of the market value of the gear owned by the band at that point. They obviously own all their own gear such as guiatrs, drums, amps etc.
11. It came in a flightcase - and I like it that way - it's easy to load, I don't worry about things falling on it and I can push it around with ease!!
12. When playing bigger venues I used to have my cab mic'd with either a Beta 52a or an AKG D112 with a 2nd channel being DI'd. This was more often than not off my sans amp. They worked great together.
13. Ok, so, as can be seen in my profile, I currently use an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro with a Warwick 4x10. I also own an Ampeg BA300 115 combo. I also have some cash available.... I'm really happy with the SVT 3 Pro in terms of sound and 'carry-ability'. The Warwick is great soundwise - though I'm not a fan of the look really so will be wanting to get rid of it. I'm not a massive fan of the sound of the BA300 - I traded it as I wanted something more portable - it fits the bill perfectly being in a full custom, wheeled flightcase but it's just not quite 'there'. I also quite like the 'classic' silverface look. I'm looking to move this on also. What I'm after is (ideally), another 'classic' looking cab to pair with the SVT 3 - I quite like the idea of Barefaced S12T. This would mainly be for 'bigger' gigs and kept in the rehearsal studio otherwise - this isn't such an 'urgent' change as I also have access to a few cabs (Ashdown 4x10 and an Ampeg 1x 15) if I get rid of the Warwick soon. More urgently, I'm after a reasonably small and compact (and portable) quality combo (or amp and cab) that I'll use for most gigs. I'll probably get it flightcased as it'll be in and out of the van 3 times a week most weeks. I do have some interest in the combo from a local bassist so hopefully he will now buy it! Otherwise it's ebay or a trade. I like the 'look' of things like Aguilars, Ampegs, Matamps, Hiwatts etc - that sort of look. I need a decent amount of headroom, I'd like at least a valve preamp section (not essential as I have a VT Bass pedal and sans amp - so DI not essential either). It needs to be quality, reliable and have a kind of retro / cool look - I don't like to look of Mark Bass stuff for some reason, even though everyone raves about it. Speaker wise - I'm open to suggestions........ Any suggestions?!
14. have a bump for a sweet JV
15. Have an 'I used to own this bass' bump...........
