1. Hi Mcnach, Does all this fit into the control cavity with the battery, or will it need a separate battery box? ( I have a stingray copy which is only passive at the moment so no separate battery box routing) Cheers Rowley
2. Met Will when I bought his RC4. He was a pleasure both to meet and to deal with. Spot on communication throughout. You should have confidence in any dealings you have with him. Rowley
3. Just bought a double gig bag from Stuart and it was exactly as he described it, almost new, and promptly delivered. Stuart gets the thumbs up from me.
4. Chrome 4 string Badass II bridge. Used but excellent condition. Un-grooved. Has some slight marks where the strings rested, but if you're gonna groove it for your strings they're gonna disappear anyway. Looking for £45 plus postage. Got to be the cheapest around!
5. Appreciate the input from you all. I can get the mwah from technique, but as I was going to put one together, I guess my question was really if there were pickups that were particularly suited to a fretless bass.
6. Hope this is the right forum for this question, I'm putting together a "bitsa" fretless bass using a precision body & wondered if anyone could offer any advice on the best sort of pickups to use for that iconic" fretless mwah" sound.........or am I over thinking it?
7. Sore finger! Isn't that what they ask you at the Chinese takeaway wen you order a bag of chips?
8. Bought Dave's P-Retro. The item was in fantastic condition with all parts present. Dave posted it within 24hrs from receiving my payment and it's now fitted in my Precision and working fine. Would happily deal with Dave again who's communications throughout the transaction were spot on. Top man!
9. Just bought a TC Electronic RH450 of Gareth which was delivered extremely promptly, and is exactly as he described it. He has proved to be a pleasure to deal with.
10. In a similar fashion, I've had a Mex Jazz Deluxe for a few years now and have loved it, and indeed still do. However, of late I've had an urge to get a P. After a few false starts concerning available funds, I've taken the plunge and today took delivery of a new Squire Matt Freeman Precision, in vintage white, black pick guard and maple fretboard with tinted lacquer (looks fantastic). My only reservation before taking the plunge was the playability of the P neck, as I'd got really used to the thin jazz neck. I'd played a few P's in stores at the back end of last year, but there's never enough stock on hand to try out back to back, and I certainly didn't find a relatively local store with stock of the Matt Freeman model..........my reservations were unfounded! Got it home and lowered the saddles a little, and WOW! I'm so impressed, a nice low action and no fret buzz make it a pleasure to play. I use it with an Aphex Bass Exciter I bought from another BC'er and I can't understand why I waited so long before getting a P. The combination (after some dial tweaking) is fantastic, there is so much bottom end, and with clarity. I ALWAYS chose my jazz over the other basses I had, but now I really can't put this P down.
11. Just agreed a deal on my GT-6B with Andy who paid immediately. Can't fault him. Have confidence in dealing with this BC'er, for those who haven't yet, he's a gent.
12. Conversely, you could argue that if you've collected it you've had opportunity to "inspect" it and therefore, if you take it away, have "accepted" it, with no come back? No intention to be sceptical, but there are always two sides to every coin!
13. Oxford dictionary quotes, "Definition of musician noun

a person who plays a musical instrument, especially as a profession, or is musically talented."
so, in that context, you are a musician
14. did strike me as being odd that you'd provide no description and have no reserve on a guitar that, if it was original, may be worth a LOT of money??? Perhaps the lack of info is testament to the fact that it's not what it appears?
15. Only a few hours left on this, serial on neck plate suggests a 63 Pre CBS model, what's the 3rd control for????? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-BASS-/321050561714
16. Just bought an Aphex Bass Exciter from Karl. Pedal gives me the sound I was looking for and it arrived within a couple of days of me sending payment. The transaction couldn't have gone smoother, trade with confidence with Karl.
17. Good luck with that then Fabrocker!
18. I may be interested in this if another BC'er takes mine. I'll drop him a line now to see if he's interested. Cheers Rowley
19. Won't find one cheaper....type bump!

21. It's another one of the benefits of changing my rig to TC Electronic RS cabs and head, I have an X Type Jag saloon and can get my whole rig, plus bass (in a gig bag) in the boot and still take passengers in the back seats. Not that that helps you of course........but perhaps a different angle!
