    Hi Looking for advice on where to take my Ampeg SVT for a service. Works fine but volume knob has sheared off so that needs looking at. The whole pot needs replacing so I believe they’d need an account with Ampeg so you can get the correct part. Live in leeds but anywhere in West Yorkshire area would be ok. hope someone can help. Thanks

    Gonna swap over my pickups tomorrow. Feel comfortable enough with the practical side of things but need to buy an iron and some solder. Wondered whether anyone had any advice for me in terms of what type of solder gives the 'truest' connection and whether getting a 15 or 30 watt iron would make any real difference. I'm thinking either will be fine but some reassurance before I get going would be nice! Thanks basschaters!

    The clear out continues. This pedal has probably had less than 2 hours use, condition wise it's pretty much immaculate. I believe they retail at about £40. I'll take £15 as its in good condition, that does include me sending it recorded delivery!     I've used this for the last 6 months or so and immensely enjoyed it, brilliant for both live and recorded sounds, it pepped up my solid state head a treat. Used it with a valve distortion and had many compliments. I believe it is very useful for having to sounds or changing between finger style and slap, which was of no interest to me. I’ve purchased a new amplifier so this is surplus to requirements now! I paid £45-50 I think. That was with a 9v plug which has subsequently broken as these things have a tendency to do. £30 with postage is what I'll sell it to you at. I can provide pictures if required, but it’s in pretty decent nick but not factory fresh. Couple of the knobs have been replaced but that’s neither here nor there really.
