1. I take it you're using the passive input on the MAG (not the active)? Watch your EQ. The more bass you add, the less perceivable volume you'll get out of it. Use a Precision Jazzes are weedy IMO.
2. Yes, there is a speakon jack at the back.
3. I'm looking for an all original '64 kettle lead. Failing that, a 'kitchen closet classic' or a relic on a modern Maplin job. Do you have any?
4. My band = Moscow Disco As usual, Myspace doesn't exactly help your tunes with it's player.
5. I'm actually remarkably surprised/happy with Fender 8250M .45 .65 .85 .110TW that came on my 2008 US P. This is the first time i haven't instantly restrung a new bass. In fact, i bought another set. The taperwound E does a great job slotting into the saddle. They also have 5 string sets. Oh and i normally use DR Lo Riders (kerching) Edit: just seen the above post. I use them through-body. I think it's the best fit for them.
6. Excellent. M-M-M-M-M-M-M-Meal Meal

Ampeg??

My experience of solid state Ampegs (owned one, played a few others), is that they are a little quiet.
8. Nice! Would look great on top of my Orange AD200B I'd like to have a closer look though.
9. Have they returned to MIJ? Because i have noticed 'new' Japanese basses with Made in Japan on them.
10. No Brant Bjork! Denied!
11. My dream gig would be my current band, with me making all the decisions

Monkey Magic

See you there. We're on before you
13. He just didn't expect 'The Basschat Inquisition' did he.
14. Play them all. Buy the one which feels and sounds right, regardless of cost or resale value. If none do. Don't buy. Repeat until bass is found.
15.
Next he'll be saying the ashtrays on it aren't the set he got off Ebay a week ago.
Ha ha, indeed. Busted!
16. yeah i reckon it's an undercoat. I've also seen this.
17. Ready at a moment's notice.
18. Here's Mike Watt playing a Squier
19. The first one has the signature on the front of the headstock, while the Andertons one (and the spec on the Andertons) has the signature on the back of the headstock.
20.
Am I alone in thinking that these are the ugliest TBirds yet? Just look at that photo of the headstocks and the way the neck laminations appear behind the headstock facing - yuk!
Nope, i said i didn't like them. The only thing that is right about these is the jack placement. The rest is all wrong. Wrong pickups, wrong bridge, wrong volume/tone knob layout, wrong-looking truss rod cover and logo placement, wrong finishes. Wrong wrong wrong!
21. I'm not taken by those and i like Tbirds. Active electronics too
22. Thanks to this thread, Absolute Music have sold about 8 or 9 of these amps in quite a short space of time (judging from the stock). I bet it was everyone here buying them
23. Isn't it the case that nitro is a cheaper finish to manufacture? (less time consuming process than the paint, Poly/gloss finish) eg Highway ones and Gibsons cheaper nitro finish guitars (SGs Vs and LPs)
