1. Unfortunately not as much as i'd like to, as i have a lovely Demeter Tremulator pedal (gorgeous on guitar, but works well on bass too). Stuff? um, 'Rock' for want of a better word.
2. Oh yeah, they're all in cahoots with eachother, but if it's a one-off bass (2nd hand/vintage) it makes no difference. Just haggle nicely.
3. It's spelt Rockers and yes, they're on Denmark St. http://www.denmarkstreetonline.co.uk/index...d=20&shop=5
4. Most are open to some haggling, particularly if it's 2nd hand. Wunjo, V&R, Angel Music, Music Ground...
5. I need a good bass chorus pedal. I hear the Small Stone works well on bass, and the Nano is a cut down version of that, right.
6. I wonder what it would look like.
7. 4/4 essentially means there are 4 beats (one, two, three, four) in the bar, using quarter notes.
8. Stick on some AC/DC. Phil Rudd will have you playing in time to him, in er, no time. ^_^ But seriously. Rhythm and timing is something you're born with, in my opinion, rather like co-ordination (sports). You can learn it, but to some, it will come easier than it does to others. Maybe get a cheap drum machine, or download some drum loop samples. They're far more interesting than a metronome. Besides, they'll be quantized anyway. Shake your body to the kick and the snare and enjoy. :brow:
9. Still looking. I remember the previous thread. I've been on the look out myself for a long time. Supposedly Gibson were setting up their own distribution in the UK, earlier this year. Ebony ones are easier to find. I have seen a few about, but not in classic white.
10. The New Kings of Leon single, 'Sex on fire' ^_^ new album 'Only by the night' out Sept 22nd, btw
11. I used a MAG 300 4x10 combo in a rehearsal today and i have to say, i was quite impressed by it. Bags of volume and headroom with my US Precision and it sounded pretty nice. Well worth the money i'd say.
12. So, has anyone played one of these yet?
13. I sold my white SG bass for £600 (bin) in April on evilbay. Of course the white ones were a limited addition and hard to come by.
14. I've got a guitar stand which holds my thunderbird. I think it's a Stagg (could be wrong). The bottom bit swivels, so it fits/supports the offset shape. It wasn't much.
15. I love my Bullet Cable. Expensive, but heavy duty, good quality and fat too, not like a lot of the cheapy ones you see.
16. Probably one of those Squier VM Jazz basses, with the block inlays. Cheapy cheap.
17. Is it not a '78? Serial No S8......
18. Because slap bass drives bears crazy?
19. Mustangs are short scale. Of course, it's not a P-bass sound but it is similar imo.
20. My '77 Mustang (maple neck) is quite P-like. Surprisingly so. I normally play a P-bass btw.
21. Relisted with a starting bid of £49, it seems.
22.
I've just come back from Zavvi Oxford Street and the basement is barricaded off with a notice saying Sound Control no longer trades from these premises. The basement itself has some display stands but looks basically gutted.
Yup, it's been like that since at least last week, if not before. A funny site.
23. Wow, a Squier signed by a 'pub-rock' band and a starting bid of £600. I'm surprised the listing doesn't say "Bargain" or something equally as annoying.
