1. I sold mine on here for £130 (p&p inc) and there was a queue of people.
2. Absolutely. Guitars are meant to be played.
3. A month or so ago i acquired a knock on the upper horn of my P bass (not done by me as far i know). Anyway, paint has come off and exposed the wood and there are some fine paint cracks around the area. It's all pretty small really. One might say it's taken its first step to 'Relicdom.' ^_^ I was thinking however, in order to prevent any further spread of the paint chipping/coming off, that i might sand down the immediate area to smooth it off. I was thinking an ultra-fine sand paper? Has anyone got any pointers/advice? A quick pick with my phone, as my camera is out of juice.
4. Apparently it has two hidden strings. String Configuration : 6 String Buy in confidence ^_^
5.
I still get a bit warm when i see that oranguilar rig! Let me know if you fancy anything in my sig eh
how about the blonde with the mic?
6. A nostalgic 'Rock' moment (for me at least)
7. Although there are a few MIMs that are string-through MIAs all the way for me though. I did have agreat '99 MIM jazz once, which i sold
8. what about 1/4 to speakon. Where does that sit?
9. I've noticed headstocks on US precisions for example, are fatter/thicker/beefier than Jap/Mex ones, which appear considerably thinner. This is from my experience, comparing my (ex-)basses. I'm not one for upgrades personally. I like to buy a bass for what it is, a Mex a US etc and i like it all original. The most i'll do is change a pickguard. I'm not particularly keen on buying people's second hand gear with upgrades they deemed an improvement either.
10. There are a few threads on this subject already, including Japanese Fenders (MIJ, CIJ). Perhaps start with changing the pickups to US standard ones.
11. I reckon go for the SVT3PRO. I'd say the 450 was more like a B2RE trying to look like a Classic.
12. I'm going through a DB210. Pretty much handles anywhere i play. Very portable too. I wouldn't mind getting a DB115 to add more low end and generally compliment it.
13. i'd say it was more suited to guitar really. EDIT: actually, i'm an idiot. It's very good on bass. I'm keeping it.
14. Played a gig in Camden (London), friday night. We lent out our gear to all other bands (between about 8pm-1am and we weren't headlining). I had to stop one band's guitarist attempting to plug into my bass head and pointed out he might try using the tweed Fender guitar combo next to it. All in all, a great gig though. Good crowd, good vibe and a cracking set. The big downer was the fact that the lift in my building has been bust. So, 2x four trips up and down 3 floors with my gear (cab/valve head, bass, fx bag) wasn't fun (especially at 2am), but that's rock n' roll.
15.
Sound Control are now stocking Laklands. The London Oxford St branch has a red Bob Glaub, a blue Darryl4 and a white Darryl5 in stock....
and a Duck Dunn, or whatever it's called (do they only come in red sparkle?)
16. Man, i can feel early symptoms of gas for a LM II coming on. The idea of just having to worry about [carrying] a cab seems great.
17. Tee

check this out!

I can't see anything. I'm blinded! ^_^
18. So what is the difference between the LMII and the F1, bar the obvious look/size?
