1. Hi Jerry, Not gigging much at the moment, as I am just coming off a break from playing. Filling in with my old band this week, then will get something more permanent in the pipeline. Ben
2. Hi! How many Bournemouth boys do we have on here?
3. One day that Wal will return to me, Gary! Just got to save up enough of a bribe for you
4. Hi guys, I was put on to Basschat by Graham at GAK. I'd previously never heard of the place, but I certainly wish I had come across it sooner! It would have made my life a whole lot easier when I've been trying to source bits of gear! I've been playing for 13 years now. Played all kinds of styles and genres, but can never tear myself away from the fact that Rush is still the greatest band in history! The early years of my playing came from learning to play (Badly) every Rush song I could get my hands on. I've been through the many stages of Geddy by owning Jazz basses, two Wals (One of which I massively regret selling) as well as a 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 (Currently for sale in the market section). My current longest standing bass is my trusty Billy Sheehan signature model which I've had for nearly six years. It's been used on a million and one gigs and has never let me down. Beyond bass, I've also taken to learning guitar and drums to a pretty high standard, which has allowed me to write and record my very own material (No one else would play with me!). I've been taking a break from playing for a while, but I've recently been getting back into, hence buying a new rig and being put in the direction of Basschat to sell me old rig. P.S I'm having a major dilemma as to whether or not I should sell my Ricky... I'll take it out on the gig this Friday and see how I feel! Ben
5. Morning bump. Surely someone wants this delightful bass... Actually, I think I might!
6. Price:£1,600 I bought this bass in the summer of 2009 from Vintage and Rare in Bath. The bass is all original, apart from the machine heads. It does come with the pickup guard, which I had removed due to the fact that I use my fingers rather than a pick. The bass 100% functional and in pretty decent condition. Obviously there are some dents and scratches etc, but nothing horrendous! Obviously, at this kind of age, the bass is also suffering with some fret wear. The bass also comes with a very heavy duty flightcase. As with anything, viewing is advisable! More photos are available upon request. 7. Hi guys! First post here at Bass Chat. I was pointed in this direction by Graham at GAK after updating my rig on the weekend. Here's the low down on what I've got on offer: Trace Elliot 4 x 10 cab Price: £300 This cab was bought approximately ten years ago, so I'm a little uncertain of it's exact age. It is in perfect working order, despite some minor cosmetic damage. The Trace Elliot head and the Mark Bass 1 x 15 are now both sold, so here is your chance to grab the last bargain! If anyone would like photos off different angles etc, please let me know. The items are located in Bournemouth and collection is advised due to the size/weight of the goods!
