1. I can't put it any better. Thanks Si.
2. Si, like you I have fond memories of Lincoln charging through our factory on the industrial estate in Clacton (late 1980s) collecting money off all and sundry for Children in Need. He was dressed as a traditional clown, face whitened up and creating nonstop hilarity on the shop floor. He told me to get to the leisure centre for a "big treat" that evening. Yup, he was right - still dressed as a clown he played a set with The Mick Hansen Band, one of the best evenings entertainment I'd had for yonks and it was this that started me playing again after a 26 year break. A few years later he turned up at one of our house parties with his lady - in full leathers - bass on his back - the two of them on his motorbike. How they managed that, don't ask me. They stayed til sun up jamming with my son and his mates whilst entertaining us all. A great inspirational bass player and a good bloke to boot - he will be missed. M.
3. So sad. Another good bloke gone.
4. Status - £20 from Colchester, perfect for this ol'boy.
5.
Bit worried about after that, as net consensus seems to knock them a bit after about '73....
Try this then, 2013, 40 years later but it is a song that Clappo played with Skydog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-NrOFLLMuM and here's the original, Live at The Fillmore 1970 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Aw7Jai7peM Different, but IMHO they're both wonderful performances.
6. And this one: https://www.youtube....h?v=WfM6nRVBvGs And particularly this one: https://www.youtube....h?v=w9ZubobGMLs Skydog and Berry live......... Eat up all your 'shrooms, y'all.
7. U bass and change the rhythms. Try big band swings, reggae, 6/4 etc. Works well for us - we get repeat bookings:)

12. Warwick Dolphin SN5 with piezo custom built for me. Too modern and flash for me, really happy to have replaced it with a Jap 62RI.Precision.
13. Nigel Harrison (AKA Tig) - Blondie. (Mrs. Jazzneck was going out with him when I met her. She swapped one curly headed bass player for another and she's still with me 46 years later. ) Paul Hammond of Atomic Rooster fame and Mick Barnard, six months as guitarist with Genesis pre Hackett and BEL Digital Audio founder - in the original Farm line up 1969/70. Oh, and 'Flash' Gordon Smith who played with a certain Phil Collins in Flaming Youth. When I left Farm and settled down to get married,Tig took over the 4 string duties from me. Funny old world, innit?

16.
You definitely need at least 1 form of photo id to open a bank account. My dad recently changed his and had to take his passport as well as a utility bill to prove his address.
Yup - I've been banking with the same bank since September 1965 both in person and online. Two months ago I opened a small savings account with them in the same branch and I still had to provide photo ID and a utility bill to prove my address. I've known the 40 year old branch manager since the day he was born and he went to school with my son. I still had to comply with the rules.
17.
Is photo ID required to open an account, withdraw funds or both? The scammer banks online. Couldn't he just transfer funds to another account?
The ID is required to open an account whether you bank online or at a branch in person. In the UK you cannot have an anonymous account - the bank will be able to trace him/her even assuming he/she instantly transferred the funds to another account. They will be able to trace that, too. I'm sorry, I don't have all the answers but your bank and the police services have - pressure them to trace the scum - tell them it's not rocket science. They have the data, records, timeline and the means to rapidly trace the money path.
18. Bob, I've just read your TB thread and I really feel sorry for you. A suggestion: follow the money. Your bank should be able to trace the payment through to the UK bank and hence through to the account or holder where the money was paid. The UK banking rules are really tight these days (anti money laundering) and for this amount, personal ID including name, address, photo ID etc. is needed. The bank should be able to identify the villain(s). Craiglist should have sellers log details, too - even if it is only an IP address. The only problem I can see is if the Penzance address is correct it will come under Devon and Cornwall Police http://www.devon-cor...uiryOffice.aspx The Craiglist London ad.will be in The Metropolitan Police area http://content.met.police.uk/Home Push your bank with it, give them all the detail you've got, they just may be able to help with tracing the money and, hopefully the git who scammed you, through the UK police services. Best of luck.......
19. Space, loads of space...........
20. Leave space, loads of space and do what Skank says except the hat bit. Have loads of fun, too.
21.
Perhaps I'm missing something here, but...if the intonation etc is OK, and it plays OK, does it matter ?
Nope - it's wierd, that's all.
22.
Never mind the intonation.....quick put them back all zigzaggy.....if they look right they are right ;-)
That's the problem, they don't look right but they sounds right.
23. I've just bought a second hand MIM 50s Classic Strat. Oh Dear...... Got it home and did the set up jobbie using the new strings that the seller had just fitted. No real problems, all is fine; however after setting the action and intonation, both with tuner and ears, I played it for a while and noticed that the bridge saddles were in an almost straight line, perpendicular to the strings. I've never seen this or anything close to this before - usually a zig-zag / sawtooth line up of saddles. Any ideas what's going on here? Is it paranormal?
24. http://www.bassland.net/jamerson.html The other side of the stories - here we go again.............................
25. No.... We had a bathroom with a similar colour scheme in the 1950s and I didn't like that either even though there were penguin pics on the lampshade.
