3.
Yeah, with Jack Brews. Tea Room was awesome.
Must agree with you there, Clapton's currant effort with this song comes across as stale these days.
 4. Baker was playing, wasn't he?
 5. Aye, my Da' Jimmy did.
 6. The word is pronounced as skon - rhymes with gone, y'know? OK, I'm off out of it then...................

 10. Just a suggestion - Watch the bass man - E, A, B but for the intro and verse, the "roll" is Eb to E. Plenty of mid to give bite and grunt and use a pick unless your finger is like a rhino horn. We play it in F - makes life a bit easier for our singer.
 11.
Terry Chapman, of TJC Guitars in Stevenage did a refinish in nitro for me. Stripped a black poly Precision, refinished in white nitro, £150.
I fully endorse this one - he refinished my old Mustang bass on the Lozz recommendation. Superb job, reasonable price and a good guy to deal with.
 12.
I'm thinking that many engineers don't know how to mix bass anymore. The fretless P is the best of the bunch. It's hard to knack a P in a mix.
Yup, I agree.
 13.
I'm taking the DVD round to my mate's at the week-end. He's got a ladida system with Boses and fings - will let you know what passes......
OK, so it sounded much better on my mate's gear but the bass was still way back in the mix for my likimg. Wot you lot finkin'?

 15. Just got my Celebration Day DVD - JPJs bass seemed a bit far back in the mix - is it me ears, my bl**dy tele or production? Great gig though, really enjoyed it - they can still do the biz. The last time I saw them live was at the Albert in 1969!
 16.
"I own a few of these ... " !! I forget where I heard it, but apparently these are horrible to play... I wouldn't dare pick the thing up, personally.
I've only got one and it is an absolute doddle to play, honestly.
 17.
Great price, this would be 5x this price in better nick.
In that case, it's great news for me and mine - thanks Rick!

 20. Covers band , but not in the originals way. e.g. Wonderwall as a reggae song
 21. National Poetry Day today. Now I know we could get into a major discussion about music and poetry here but this is one of my favourites: A CANADIAN WINTER FCUK. It's cold............................ The End.
 22. No probs at all using Allparts US Fender approved replacement J neck and P body. Lovely snug fit with no fettlin' required. I may have been lucky, though. (Hence my BC name).
 23. Thanks Guys - I've tried the scraper trick up the dusty end and it worked. I will now continue up the way, slowly and gently, and will report my findings..... might take a few weeks, though.
 24.
I don't think its lacquered. You do often see quite waxy looking rosewood. The fingerboard on my J Deluxe looks quite waxy.
Sorry Schizznit, but it is lacquered, I can even see some of resin which has crystallized in a few very small areas - the waxy soft finish is exactly what I'm after.
