Spotted the bass player in Sam Smith's cover of Fast Car playing what looks like a Kala U bass this morning, sounds very good in my opinion! Doesn't help my GAS for one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qA4FtHUKVPE

All for £400 + shipping or collection! Ampeg SVT410 HE Cab STILL AVAILABLE Legendary cab, loud enough to play any venue! 500watts with 4 10inch drivers and a tweeter. Theres a few marks in the tolex which have been pictured but other than that - great condition. Would be very interested in trades for a 2x12 cab! Heres what Ampeg say : Looking for a speaker cabinet to brighten up your bottom-heavy bass rig? Or, maybe you’ve recently downsized your transportation to save a few bucks on fuel, and no longer have room to haul your beloved SVT-810E to the gig. The SVT-410HE delivers superb full-range performance, all the way up to 18kHz—and it’ll fit in your new ride. The Ampeg SVT-410HE is also the ideal enclosure for the player who wants to add extended upper register clarity to a system that already features ample low frequency performance. Just ask George Clinton—he uses an SVT-410E to round out the top-end of his killer, all-SVT stage setup. ¼” and Neutrik Speakon® Jacks Variable HF “L-Pad” 2” Swivel Casters Baltic Birch Plywood Collection from Belfast. Ampeg B-2RE 450 watt MOSFET bass head Like new condition - great classic Ampeg sounds from SVT to B15 with more than enough power for any gig situation! MOSFET power rather than class D for ultimate sound quality! Sadly no longer needed as I have purchased a Mesa Boogie. The new Ampeg B2-RE replaces our ever-popular B-2R, delivering up to 450-watts @ 4 Ohms—and the high-current Neutrik Speakon® jack means that every single drop of that power will make it to your speakers. Since volume and tone should go hand-in-hand, we equipped the B2-RE with our superb tone-sculpting Ultra Mid control, which provides a new level of tonal fine-tuning that should satisfy even the most demanding player. Want even more control? Use the 9-Band Graphic EQ to custom tailor your sound to the room, or use it as a “second channel" to boost your level for that show-stopping bass solo. Four hundred and fifty watts of pure bass energy, total tone control and rugged construction make the B2-RE a true performer's bass amp.

I've just replaced this today with its twin in 4 string form - As much as I try to be, I'm just not a fan of 5 strings! Call me old fashioned... Anyway some details: Mexican made 2005 Fender Jazz White on white Rosewood fretboard Great condition Comes with a fender gig bag Strung with D'addario 50-135 Nickel and set up great! Gotoh tuners Set up, plays and sounds fantastic - hence why I bought the exact same thing with one less string I'm looking for £350, collection from Northern Ireland near Belfast or postage at cost is fine with me! (Probably £20/£25 - somewhere around there) and paypal gift is my preferred payment option! On to the pictures:

Tempting but the logo looks quite fake to me... My jazz is the same year and the script logo isn't anywhere near peeling off like this is. Any insight? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Mexican-Fender-Precision-Bass-/301286776739?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4626175fa3

I play one through an Ampeg 4x10 and it is most definitely louder than my previous 250watt solid state ampeg (something? I cant remember the model! Something with rack ears...) I think the secret for getting a good sound is to hit the front of it with a clean boost (or play an active bass perhaps?) Not enough to get over drive, but just a good volume jump. I play in a wedding band and at church with mine and it never struggles against a loud drummer and 2 30 watt valve orange guitar amps! My only complaint is that carrying a 4x10 to gigs for £100 a night is a pain... Maybe I should bite the bullet and get a MarkBass combo.
