I know sometimes it can be harder to sell with a lower post count so just a quick message to say I received the Bass Big Muff the day after paying for it, Matt is a great guy to deal with
Thanks very much, I really appreciate it
I wasn't fast enough on the GR2...
I couldn't believe how quick it went myself! Moog time for me now though
My moogs are coming up for sale soon. Only because I don't play anymore.
PM me a price! I've spotted some on ebay I'm watching too so it looks like this is happening!
Just get the Moog dude, it'll do exactly what you need. It is quite big, but not at all noisy.
Pretty sure thats where I'm going to end up... you might see a GR2 in the classifieds sooner or later!

I ended up grabbing a 3Leaf GR2 which sounds great but isn't exactly what I was looking for.... Would you guys rate the sound of the OC2 above an Octamizer? I have the latter but its definitely a different sound to the usual synth octave bass sound. Maybe I need to play with the filter knob a bit more to dial it in just right

Finally settled on this set up, signal chain goes: Bass : Jazz 5 > Pedalboard : TU2 > GR2 (Octamizer > Big Muff in the loop) > Rat tail > MXR Chorus > M5 > Milkbox > BDPG > Preamp : Avalon U5 > Amp : Ashdown LB30 I tried to put together a board that could produce pretty much any sound I might want for the music I play (P&W and a wedding band) and I finally think I have it covered! The only changes I can see in the near future would be a TAFM to replace the BBM and at some point way down the line a Darkglass VMTD and an H9 to replace the M5!

Thats for the info guys! I'm watching an MF101 on ebay so fingers crossed it stays reasonably priced! If, in the likely case, it is a bit out of my price range. How could a SA BEF Pro do at copping that vibe?

This is maybe a weird thing to add, but the whole dubstep wobble thing isn't what I'm looking for. More like, making my bass sound like a Synth. This jojo Mayer and nerve tone!

I'm looking for a bit of advise here, I mainly play praise and worship music and I'm looking for something to couple with an octave and drive for a subby synthy sound. I'm pretty sure a moogerfooger mf101 would do the job but they're huge and apparently hissy? I've got a budget of around £150, would the likes of an Aguilar twin filter or an MXR M82 do the job? Or a source audio BEF pro? I did have one of those briefly but flipped it pretty quick after it confusing the life out of me! Any help would be good thanks!

I have an idea for a pedal to build, basically a 1590A mini enclosure with a momentary switch that would simulate an expression pedal fully down then when pressed fully up. Thought behind it would be for a non latching octave up paired into a line 6 M5. Is this possible at all? I tried to just use a tap tempo pedal I built but sadly it didn't work! Any help would be great

I don't think so, I tried a few different cables in every different position. I was able to get the output level back up by enabling the boost in the LLM but the thump and low end remained gone, just a hotter thin signal. I have read a few reports about LLMs causing tone lose, and then some of the opposite so I guess QC may not be fantastic in the AMT factory? Who knows!
-
Well after taking my pedal board apart and connecting each pedal individually - turns out it's the LLM2 there was no tone loss at all with everything except it and then when it's in the chain, good bye low end and about 40% of my signal strength! So it's being returned, what a shame because it's such a nice little pedal
-
So I've started to get into effects and while I love having my pedals especially for ambient stuff I've noticed that quite a lot of my low end has disappeared which is very disappointing! My current signal chain is: Fender Jazz 5 (passive) -> Boss TU2 -> EHX Octave Mutliplexer -> Earthquaker Devices Speaker Cranker -> EHX Bass Big Muff -> AMT LLM2 -> Line 6 M5 (in true bypass mode) -> Boss DD20 -> Ashdown LB30. I occasionally run an Avalon U5 between the board and the amp which can help bring the bottom end back a bit but it's borrowed so I would usually just use whatever DI is avaioable for FOH. I'd really like something on my board to get my thump back and have a good DI for FOH all the time! I'm pretty open to any suggestions and size isn't a huge concern but I'm pretty sure I don't need one of those massive programmable 3 channel ones! The more affordable the better too but I know good tone isn't cheap
