2. Personally I think bi-amping is a waste of time and I stopped doing it in mid-90's. In the olden days it made sense, but the current bass speaker/cabs are so efficient it is simply not needed to get a full-range/ well rounded tone. If you do want to biamp, the 800RB is perfectly suited to do it. You need a lot less watts for the highs than you need for the lows, 100w is more than plenty. 300 RMS is roughly what most D class heads put out in real terms, I would say enough for most situations. The "weak" comment is incorrect. I your cab can handle much more power it would not necessarily sound weak if you use less.
3. Eminence 3015's would work. Although the maths do not lie, the cab may be pretty well suited for the sludge/stoner I have just enjoyed checking out.... Although a 4x15 straight in the cab you have just built and then another would work better.... Interesting link for you to read. http://www.markpercy.co.uk/cabinet.htm
4. Come over to Holland for a weekend in Amsterdam and drop by our rehearsal studio, I have a M2500 (USA) as my main bass. It has a slimmer neck than my L2500, I do not like big necks and it feels very comfortable. That said, you have Ibbies so most necks will feel a little chunky in comparison perhaps. Very flexible bass, great feel, great tone..... An L2500 in a suit, a bit more polite. Compared to the several Stingrays HH and HS 5-ers I owned I prefere the neck and tone of the M2500. Thomann has a 30 day return policy.......
5. Great basses!
6. Subscribed to this...... a thing of beauty and magnitude, although I have some question marks on if it will also sound as good. WINISD required and some "specialist" opinion I would suggest.
7. This thread is soooooo funny, just what I needed.
8. Proper amp, sooooo loud and clean.
9. Very very good compressor at a good price. Funny, I also sold mine and my Diamond and went back to the Multicomp...
10. A mate of mine has one of these, they are very cool albeit only useable in very limited situations.
11. Thought it would be, class A pre . Good luck with the sale, powerful and clean.... A lot to like.
12. Lovely!
Another SB1 in the house A well used and genuinely reliced '86
13. Rare as ...... Very good I gather.
14. Probably 1st one I have encountered 2nd hand, was considering one for a bit. Is it any good?
15. Hi Nawlins, welcome to BC!
16. Very tasty! The Aggies sound really good in the vids, it's in the fingers
17. These are very good basses, Andre vd End makes his own pups (ok not in this bass) and pres and it is a genuine handmade process.
18. Great pedalboard, I use one as my main board...... Love it.
19. Great pre, owned one and loved it.
20. Pics are now up BUMP. Great little amp that is as loud as an STM900, RH750, MB800 etc.
21. A big ouch when mr HazBeen came home today, couple of hundred in speeding tickets..... No further comment, well ok, average speed traps...... Best to sell some non-essentials rather than face mrs HazBeen I only recently bought the Reidmar on BC, great sounding solid state D class head, it is the newer version with 470 watts printed on the front. Still the same great EBS 250 watts RMS head; it is as loud or louder as my GB Streamliner. I really like it but it was intended as a backup and as such is non-essential. Virtually new! Looking for 250£ shipped tracked and insured to UK, comes with UK power chord and original packaging. Pics: http://s87.photobucket.com/user/welcometombh/library/Reidmar
22. No regrets really, maybe my 1991 teal Stingray 2 band. The 1st real bass I bought new and the one I used exclusively for about 15 years before going 5 string.
23. Gear porn! I like it...
24. John made a passive wiring harness for my L2500, series/parallel/single switch per pickup..... Nice one! I couldn't have made it any better and it would have probably cost me more in time and parts.... top chap!
