1. Agreed, 500 and change for an American made super PJ is a steal, such an under-appreciated brand. I will take both my L and M2500's over any Stingray any day of the week, this SB will make mince meat out of most Fender Ps, maybe even all.
2. Caught the little accents nicely matey, well done. The Wick is very well suited for this.
3. This NUTUBE stuff is intriguing. http://www.korg.com/us/news/2015/012212/ Wonder how long A it will take to make an amp with it, B how long it will take before bass amps are available to test. This would solve all issues (weight) with fulltube amps, IF they indeed sound like tube amps.
No or not that I know of. It takes a lot of energy to reproduce bass frequencies and too small a transformer will result in saturation, which is where the iron core has absorbed as much electromagnetic energy as it can and then starts to distort and lose frequency response. Sometimes this is good thing on guitar amps as is forms part that amps distinct tone. In the early days guitar amps deliberately had small output transformers to limit the low end to preserve the frail speakers. I recently worked on a a couple of peavey 5150/6505 60 watt combos. One was an American one the other was a Chinese one. The output transformer of the Chinese one is about half the size and difference in sound is huge. The U.S. one sounds big and articulate and the Chinese one is rather thin and strangled sounding. Hence this is why all the best sounding valve bass have huge heavy transformers. There is some news on lightweight valves though. Korg have just announced their NUTUBE which is a miniature pre amp valve. Check it out.
4. BC solves yet another conundrum , the power of many.
5. Found it! http://www.wikizic.org/Vantage-225B1/
6. 99.9% sure it is a Vantage, they used to stick a V at the top of the headstock and it looks like one of the several fonts they used. This seems to be a Samick era Vantage, as that is when they were made in Korea and not in the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Vantage was discontinued mid nineties, this is probably early '90s.
7. Seems pretty out there, but who knows.....
8. I just bought Mike's Reidmar. Fair price, quick shipment and good comms. Could not ask for more. Thanks for the pleasant transaction!
9.
Kind regards, Hazbeen. The one I bought from you always gets compliments on its tone and power. It's a brilliant amp and the weight factor is a real plus point. All the best, Pete
Nice one Pete!
10. I have tried them all, best (and most expensive I have to add) Evidence Audio SIS which I now use on both my boards.
11. Had a Weber 200, quality fulltube for not too much money. Lighter than most 200watt amps and kicks their butt too.
12. Just traded basses with John, what an incredible pleasure, true gent, man of his word and excellent comms. Would deal again without hesitation. Thanks pal!

17. Absolute beauty of a bass, glwts!
18. Had this bass in a fiver, great bass, really good tone.
19. Thanks for the love guys, restored my faith in humanity
20. Last bump before I stick it in its case and withdraw. Surely some people must share my taste in styling?
21.
Great price for a great bass
Thanks mate, it indeed is a great bass. Very modern jazz sound with heavy lows, mid bite and crisp top end. But I think the design is a little too much for the average BC-er, it does not look like a Fender. A few more trade options added, other stuff I need.
22. One last bump, and since the EURO/GBP is what it is currently, drop to 750GBP + pp.
23. How could this not get any attention!? Lovely bass!
24. Valiant guy or drunk madman, who cares. He didn't shoot anyone.
25. Well that's not getting much attention type bump...... Ah well, no issue to keep at all. Any takers?
