1. 99.9% sure it is a Vantage, they used to stick a V at the top of the headstock and it looks like one of the several fonts they used. This seems to be a Samick era Vantage, as that is when they were made in Korea and not in the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Vantage was discontinued mid nineties, this is probably early '90s.
2. Seems pretty out there, but who knows.....
3. I just bought Mike's Reidmar. Fair price, quick shipment and good comms. Could not ask for more. Thanks for the pleasant transaction!
4.
Kind regards, Hazbeen. The one I bought from you always gets compliments on its tone and power. It's a brilliant amp and the weight factor is a real plus point. All the best, Pete
Nice one Pete!
5. I have tried them all, best (and most expensive I have to add) Evidence Audio SIS which I now use on both my boards.
6. Had a Weber 200, quality fulltube for not too much money. Lighter than most 200watt amps and kicks their butt too.
7. Just traded basses with John, what an incredible pleasure, true gent, man of his word and excellent comms. Would deal again without hesitation. Thanks pal!
8. Thanks John! It was a complete pleasure on my end, will make sure I post on your feedback page too. 9. One of the more sexy Single Cuts on BC, GLWTS!
10. Neil, Xotic BB arrived safely. Thanks for the hassle free transaction!
11. Had this bass in a fiver, great bass, really good tone.
12. Thanks for the love guys, restored my faith in humanity
13. Last bump before I stick it in its case and withdraw. Surely some people must share my taste in styling?
14.
Great price for a great bass
Thanks mate, it indeed is a great bass. Very modern jazz sound with heavy lows, mid bite and crisp top end. But I think the design is a little too much for the average BC-er, it does not look like a Fender. A few more trade options added, other stuff I need.
15. One last bump, and since the EURO/GBP is what it is currently, drop to 750GBP + pp.
16. How could this not get any attention!? Lovely bass!
17. Valiant guy or drunk madman, who cares. He didn't shoot anyone.
18. Well that's not getting much attention type bump...... Ah well, no issue to keep at all. Any takers?
19. Depending on genre of course, not sure if these are too much. AC/DC - Highway to Hell, great singalong Nirvana - Smells like Teen Spirit, who doesn't know this song Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire, yes girls.... Killers - Mr Brightside, another yes girls...
20.
I don't see why you have to muck about with tunings. The bass strings are usually tuned in fourths to each other, so why change that? It makes life a lot easier when your in this standard set up. I'm no expert on tunings for metal right enough but have often wondered if I have a bass with a low B, and I want to play deep, dirty metal music, do the guitars have to be down tuned to a low B too? Or do they stay in concert pitch as if we were playing a normal tune with a five string bass?
Why wouldn't you "muck about" with tunings? It gives you extra options......
21. As I see it you have 2 options, 1. get an extra light 5 string set (max .120 on the and tune up the entire bass to standard C or 2. tune the bass in C, G, C etc = a drop C tuning. The top string = E (or should say D) not B should be at least .110 for that. Do not forget changing intonation for either option.
