1. Aah, that was quick.......
2. So, who do I have to kill? I would so love this bass........ Trade for a Dean 8 string 34"? I am joking of course. Can't spare the cash, but that is a mighty fine 12 sir, have a BUMP on me.
3. The only active bass i would consider......... Nice!
4. Beauty! But isn't the main reason for buying a vintage instrument that it has been broken in, wood has settled etc? That said, this must be miles better than a Classic. What a looker!
5. Oooooooooh, very nice modern P.....
6. 'Twas my pleasure matey!
7. James bought my MXR M-80. Prompt payment (although Paypal is keeping it for a few days AGAIN to make some extra profit), good comms and just a real pleasure to deal with. I would sell/buy again with utter confidence. Thanks James!
8. I own 2 Lulls for their sound, playability and build quality, not their headstock and imho buying or not buying a bass because of how it looks ranks up there with woman buying shoes. Form over function.... Now in answer to the actual question, Lull B strings are a top act! Anyone who has actually ever played/owned one will concur.
9. I owned one of these, just really a great full tube amp, oozes classic bass tone! And for a full tube is pretty lightweight. Have a bump on me :-)
10. Bought some new pedals, so some others can leave my overstocked collection: Boss RC-3, looper pedal, looks good as new, velcro on the bottom (includes box, manuals etc): £110 shipped Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus, looks good as new, velcro on the bottom (includes box, manuals etc): £50 shipped MXR M80, used but in good nick, velcro on botton (includes box, manuals etc): £70 shipped SOLD! Line6 M5, in really good nick - as new, velcro on bottom (includes box, manuals etc as well as EU plug adaptor): £100 shipped Pics on request
11. this is quite an unkown fuzz and not much can be found on the net. I used to have one, a really good classic fuzz, one of the best sounding old school fuzz pedals I ever had. Have a bump on me :-)
12.
Wow! these amps are like buses! Wait ages for one to come along then two appear!! I bet these sound great! - I'd love to hear one!
Same as I was thinking...... really nice amps, it would look good on my NV610 as well ! Too bad I don't have cash to spare for either or I would have scooped one up. Have a bump on me!
13. What is your budget? Taylor AB1 is probably (one of) the best our there, but not cheap. http://www.kleinguit...1/taylorab1.htm http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/90692 Boulder Creek, Ortega (I have one) and Michael Kelly I would say are the ones to go to for lower-medium price range. You also need to consider that some acoustic basses are really soft acoustically. No issue if you plug into the desk, put if you play 100% unplugged you might run into issues.
14. I bought JohnnyC's NV610 a few months back. Having lived with it and gigged it during this period (I think 10 or 11 gigs) I can honestly say that the sound makes up for the fact it is a bit heavier than you would ideally want. 100lbs is not overly heavy (although I am quite a strong lad) and the size is perfect. Really easy to move and I find it is not really any more hassle than the 2 GK cabs I used to carry (yes they are lighter, but also 2 cabs vs 1). As for the sound: I had only used an NV610 once before and bought one off the forum based on that + the good reviews and I am not disappointed. What a cracker! I am sure Barefaced Cabs are great (never owned one) and if they did a 610 it would be awesome, but Ampeg, Markbass, Ashdown etc etc do not even come close to the Berg. Not close at all.... that is how good the Berg is. The NV412 is also really good, and I believe there may be one on sale on the forum still. DO IT!!!
15.
get another Unichorus. It is a great pedal! The Analogman Chorus is lovely too. I use the Moog Clusterflux which is seriously expensive and serious overkill for most... before that I was always very happy with the EBS!
I tried to get another Unichorus, but the shop I was in did not have them in stock and against my better judgement I bought the CEB-3 (which is fine for the money, but is not a "good" chorus).... I needed a chorus quick. Will do some research and buy another Unichorus if I cannot find another I like. Thanks for the tips so far gents!
16. Heavy Fuzz? Earthbound Supercolider or Beast (same pedal, but Beast has some extras), Wren&Cuff Pickle Pie B.
17. Ooh that reminds me, I pretty much hate the Boss CEB-3, but my EBS died some months back. Anyone have any bass chorus tips?
18. Okay, don't think I posted mine on BC ever. This is quite a "stable" set up, I don't change things around that much. Bass>Ebs Octabass>Home Made Y split box>left side of split signal goes direct to Morley Mix<right side of split signal goes to Rodenberg 728B>MXR Bass Envelope>Darkglass B3K>Earthbound Beast>Boss CEB-3>Morley Mix The Morley recombines a clean signal (50%) with the effects signal (50%) - I can vary the volume levels of these individually by setting input levels. Morley Output A goes to EBS Multi Comp, Output B goes to Tuner (I can turn these on and off individually) Why split signal? Because it just sounds better! On larger stages I don't recombine the signals, just use 2 amps. All this goodness is powered by a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power II.
19. You'd have to pay me to use a monster like that.... that is one fugly bass.
20. She needs to stay off the wacky backy! I think she just looks spaced out of her mind
21. The prices some people pay just to be able to say "original" is ridiculous. I never got that must be old to be good thing.
22. Very sexy bass. Rainer is a trustworthy seller with a very nice collection indeed. Have a BUMP on me.
23. Well with Barts and an Audere it basically no longer is a Joe Osborne, solid active jazz bass I'm sure but I am quite saddened that passive is seen as a weak spot. Sorry Mr Osborne
