  1. Oh no, Mike was the nicest guy. He helped me with a custom wiring request for my M5V back in the day. Charged me postage only, for what must have taken him an hour or 90 mins at least. RIP
  2. What a blast! We did a Faithless Tribute 2 days in a row, both venues totally sold out. It was really nice to get such positive feedback, a really good indicator there is a market for the live band/dance music approach.
  3. Holy mother of nibbly bits! That is a ridiculously good price. These are such good instruments. If you are in the market for a 4 string PJ, buy it now and you will not be disappointed.
  4. Good price too, glwts!
  5. FFS Bas .....
  6. It just takes time to find the right approach for you. It has taken me a long time, but I am almost to the point where I am comfortable enough with it to use it on a gig. What did it for me is that I now tilt my thumb towards the bass a little during the upstroke. Keep at it, so will I
  7. Good deal! Max made this for me in 2011 and it was a pretty pricey custom order. Great pedal, good to see it is still out there.
  8. Use this, carefully.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Araldite®-Crystal-15ml-Tubes-Epoxy/dp/B006JYQA82/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&aaxitk=SKJCNJNGAEJjm21eI8MD.Q&hsa_cr_id=1499119440602&ref_=sb_s_sparkle_slot
  9. Lurvely
  10. I have 2, sometimes I need them both.
  11. You all know what the Borg say: "resistance is futile"
  12. They used to be made by SKC/Bogart. Nowadays they make them themselves, but I understand the carbon is very thin (as I'm told) and not on par with the likes of Status, Bogart, Modulus etc.
  13. One of my big bass inspirations..... get well Juan, strength and love to you and family. Just horrible.
  14. Barts are not overly coloured but defo have a more vintage vibe to them compared to MEC or EMG. The Streamer is much less flexible, great growly tone but I would not use it on a singer songwriter dep for instance. The Elrick can pretty much do it all, from almost passive sounding old school funk to rock. That plus the playability impresses me most. You know I was raving to yoy about the Lulls I used to own, for me the Elrick is on par at least.
  15. A month, several rehearsals and a gig in the Elrick continues to amaze me. I think I may have stumbled upon the bass that render all others obsolete. Let’s see how I feel after a few months, but so far I am very impressed by the tone and playability. Probably the fastest 5 neck I have ever played with best high register access of all 100%.
  16. Reverb anyone?
  17. Someone is being optimistic as usual...
  18. A lot of bass for the money, LTD = great price/quality.
  19. I will let others buy it first and then see. Personally I am starting to think that an all-in-one solution actually is not possible, at least re the synth and octave sounds I am looking for. But, open to being surprised and amazed..
  20. Whilst I love my LT, it doesn’t fully fulfill my amp/fx needs, so I use a number of pedals as well. This will be the same, great at some sounds but not all. Can’t say I am GASsing yet.
  21. Awesome midi switcher, i love mine.
  22. I played a gig that didn’t happen (cancelled last minute) ...... and I even got paid for it. Pretty weird.
  23. Me no like...... sure they last, but I do not like how they sound. Horses for courses.
  24. I did a part trade with Alfredo. An absolute pleasure to deal with, very patient, good communication and just a really nice guy. Would buy/sell/trade with him again without any hesitation. Gracias amigo!
