  1. Fender Custom shop I really like, also the EMG Geezer Butler signature is a really really excellent pickup (classic sound, not EMG like).
  2. I find this quite shocking and totally logical at the same time....... I wish autotune would die, expose 99% of the so called singers in an instant.
  3. I thought the entry was akin to Brexit, messy and seemed to drag on for ever. I also do not get what Israel and Australia have to do in Eurovision so me thinks once Brexit finally does become a reality you will still not be rid of the horrid ordeal.
  4. I use 1 finger technique for effect quite often. Nothing wrong with that, although mainly use 2.
  5. I love playing fretless, am in a “ feeling really positive about my intonation” phase, which means I use it as much as possible. Won’t last, but such is... just keep on practising
  6. Just make one, pretty basic shape. Fun too.
  7. Dependent on scale, build etc. for a drop A I would use a .135-140 B, then normal gauge for the rest. If you are dropping to F#, you will need a much thicker string which will result in very high tension when in drop A. If you are planning to drop to F# a lot, I woud slap on a set of Kalium 174 136 106 79 59 43 and then tune (as standard) F# B E A D G, for drop A you then just drop the B to A...
  8. There won't be any description on BC, it will all be "telepathic" using the 7G Huawei Neural Network
  9. Well this thread has taken a rather unexpected turn.
  10. Rockbass Steamer Standard is the model, long discontinued in this config. 140 is about right, although 100 would not be cheating the seller imo..... well, they just do not resell easily. Carolina body, whichis some sort of pine.
  11. Bah humbug..... to quote Talk Talk, Life’s what you make it. 🤪
  12. I seriously do not see how seperating 4 from 5, fretted from fretless or whatever would be particularly beneficial for all forum members.... some might like it, others like the ability to browse the entire spectrum. We could not possibly cater for everyone’s wishes on splits so to me keeping them all under basses for sale makes sense.
  13. Big fan, still am. Great singer, great bands.
  14. I have one with a built in sofa, really handy for lounge gigs..... 🤪 I will just go back to work....
  15. Smart person, cracking deal.
  16. I think a lot of these “ thoughts” are not particularly based on fact, more on hunches/half truths/ancient wisdom etc. If you all have a reasonably accurate tuner, the differences between tuners will be smaller than the inaccuracy of the operators themselves.
  17. Absolute bargain! If you like DBX based compressors buy now.
  18. Great sounding amps
  19. Rickenbacker? Don’t believe I have ever heard of them....
  20. For me it is without a doubt Frank Zappa, closely followed by Chris Cornell. Both shook me quite a bit.
  21. Wow, lovely,
  22. Immense soft spot for Roscoe LGs, lovely. Glwts!
  23. Wow..... only 62
  24. Great amps, I might even prefer my BB800 over my Mesa D800. Glwts!
