  1. Lovely! I just spent the am between my Electro and BBN4 fretless basses. Currently in the “useless at fretless” phase (I think every fretless player gets what I mean) so putting in some extra practise.
  2. 10-12 in pretty much all my bands... 3:30-4:00 songs on average. If the singer shuts up that is...
  3. Crazy isn't it... all 'heavy' gear is going for peanuts. Great for buying not for selling.
  4. I also have a wooden mandolin. I think it is Mahogany with a Spruce top. Very rough on the fingers though..... okay, stop it Harry...... Good luck with the sale Chris, great amp/cabs.
  5. Holy smokes, this is a solid find....... BUY IT NOW!
  6. Whilst this is a reworked/cover version. New York Minute combines one of the most beautiful songs of the last few decades with some of the most musical fretless work you will ever hear. It brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it even after so many years.
  7. I remember seeing this when you were waiting on it to clear customs. Considering MG created this for you based on your ideas for a dreambass would it not be worthwhile to give it some more time to get used to it? Surely getting to grips with the NT/smaller body is just a matter of time? Would be a shame to throw away money and it is a beautiful bass.
  8. For you especially @Cuzzie
  9. MFD or it’s not a G&L, there said it....
  10. Tom bought my Helix Stomp, turns out this lovely chap lives only about 15 minutes away from me. Absolute pleasure to deal with, totally hassle free. Would highly recommend and hope to jam with him soon. Cheers Tom!
  11. Just so I get it right, you are going to have a bass built for 1 gig? Love it
  12. Eye on something 360, including the expression pedal! Now tell me that is not a good deal (just don’t tell the mrs).
  13. The 2nd fan fret fretless I have ever seen.... beautiful
  14. Yes, the entire Helix family is very good indeed! If I didn’t have the LT the Stomp would be going nowhere.
  15. Wow, what a lovely plate of chips, he says whilst drooling over the bass.
  16. Must admit this is giving me visions/ideas of a new build..... you can’t deny a headless just balances better than headed. Lovely pics! Really nice how you contoured the upper horn for upper register access and for your “body”, it just flows....
  17. Souds like an excellent time and 900 quid is not far from what you would pay for a similar bass of similar quality. I trained myself (not very well I must add :)...) by doing increasingly complex mods and then some full builds. A course like this would be such fun! Hats of you and mr Shuker.
  18. Well that was a rather underwhelming experience...... I voted for Hellboy, not a great bassist but very hot indeed.
  19. Very nice, congratulations. Jerry Dorsch makes really good graphite necks. For us in Europe they do get a bit pricey compared to Status Graphite, but then again you cannot order a headless neck from Rob & Dawn. I really like the design.
