  1. 700 quid is just a really good price for this bass. Neck is one of the most comfortable necks I have ever played.
  2. Warmoth parts are top notch, so is the hardware, so is the neck. This must sound just awesome.
  3. I have had more than a few examples of that ...... absurd but funny
  4. All I can say is that in my experience Adrian M. is one of the more professional builders I spoken and he really stands for/by his product. It will not be MDF.
  5. I have a vastly less organised approach, but I know that I can master a lot of songs in a week if pushed. It involves listening to the songs and bass parts until I can sing them (by which time I will generally have sussed the key, intervals etc naturally), then I pick up the bass and just literally have to play what I sing (in my head or the mrs will get stroppy ....). Only then do I get tabs/transcriptions as I have found I play better if I don’t have to rely on them. The only annoying thing is that sometimes you listen to songs you do not particularly care for 10-15 times :), but the good thing is that you can listen during the daily commute, breaks etc. so the hours are easily put in without breaking into normal life too much.
  6. FI is still “king”
  7. And I was just about to propose my original 62 plus cash.... drat.
  8. Phew.... must have been Manic Depressions by Hendrix. Me thinks.
  9. There is a reason why brands like MTD and Pedulla (just 2 worth noting) use Barts for all their basses. But they may not work for all situations, all technique styles (a softer touch imo brings out the best in Barts) and defo need to be matched with the right preamp.
  10. I am a Bart “convertee”, I never liked Barts and felt they lacked character. Then I heard them in a passive setup and they were warm, articulate and defined. Then spent some time on understanding which preamps get the most out of Barts, end of story I now have Bartolini pickups in ALL my basses.
  11. Uk Distributor: RED CHILLI AUDIO 381 Bradford Road Batley - West Yorkshire West Yorkshire - UNITED KINGDOM Téléphone 1 00447766756789 E-mail [email protected]
  12. http://www.prodipeguitars.co.uk/our-products/bass-guitars/11408-bass-guitar-prodipe-guitars-pb80ra.html Here you go!
  13. ehm, no Harry don’t.....
  14. Indeed great lines, undeniable.
  15. My German buddy lives close to Thomann. It is in stock he said. But who cares, it is just going to be “so close yet not up to my BB750”. I am keeping my heavy amp for pup gigs (and go FRFR for bigger stages).
  16. RIP, I must have been about 12 when I got into Talk Talk. Complex, rich, dark lyrics. Absolute A class band. You will be remembered.
  17. Exactly, too much of everything Barts pres are certainly a decent match too, but for me nothing beats the Nolls, not overly transparent, infinite configuration options and not too much (especially bass).
  18. It is a Glock pre (slightly tweaked) as standard, nothing not to like. If you want less transparant I would suggest Noll TCM (come in many versions). Aggie I would advise against, East indeed makes great (but expensive) pres.
  19. Does Tal come included?
  20. 78/79
  21. I have fitted several Status necks, if you are not an idiot and take your time it is an easy job, just take care and be patient. But anyway.....
  22. Joe Lester of Intronaut and many others, but as jrixn1 said... Gary Willis!
  23. Status unlined fretless j neck...... 298 (okay double the price of a wooden one, but worth it imo)
  24. Dreams, this one just kicked you in the dangly bits ..... so when are you calling Vinnie Fodera?
