  1. I am finding that my Helix LT can replace more pedals than I thought having put in the time to really get to grips with it. So for your viewing pleasure stuff that I have multiples of OR have an alternative for (Helix or analogue). Evidence Audio SIS Patch cables - I have at least 12 patch cables spare (various lengths, so 24 plugs). This stuff was a significant step up from my George Ls. These are not cheap at GBP75 for 10 plugs and cable. I need to check exactly how many/how long etc. but I would be happy with 60 quid for the 12 patches (I can check how much more I have, may have even more). SOLD! https://www.thomann.de/gb/evidence_audio_sis_kit_10_rd.htm COG T65 (custom) - THE Octaver in my book, bought this one off this parish. It is the gen 1 version (so with the TRS loop). GBP90 I reserve the right to withdraw. SOLD! On the fence about this one, as it is most excellent. Keeley Compressor Pro (basically a GC2 and Bassist in one). Great DBX160A based compressor, fast, clean, musical. In good condition (was firmly attached to my board for 3 years) GBP190. I reserve the right to withdraw. SOLD! Lehle 3@1, great tool for when you have 3 basses and 1 amp. volume control on 2 of the 3 input to match volumes between instruments. In very good condition. Like all Lehle stuff, bullet proof but not cheap. Looking for GBP100 TC Electronics Corona Chorus+ (limited edtion one in black, 1 of 2000 units worldwide) - great chorus from TC, a Tri-chorus tribute. GBP55 SOLD! All prices include shipping. Happy to send pics, answer any questions.
  2. Well, the handbuilt “prototype” version. I had seen this vid before (love a bit of Nitti every so often), sounds good eh? Very jazz bass on steroids.
  3. Just lovely, hope you find a solid 34” replacement for them. These will make someone very happy for sure.
  4. A shout out to Adrian Maruszczyk of Maruszczyk/Public Peace. I ordered a replacement bridge and Noll preamp for my Bogart on his website on Sunday afternoon, the good man replied in the evening - and even corrected an error by vetting that I really wanted what I ordered - today I transfered funds by bank and sent him payment confirmation and he just gone and shipped the parts to me already! Maruszczyk make great basses, AND provide great parts with a whole lot of service behind things. https://www.public-peace.de/
  5. That is actually why I was checking the Mosaic out (what does it do). Turns out is is a doubler with a short delay (I would assume around the 20ms mark) and the octave up. I know my Helix has both, so I am going to try to get my current “faux” 8 string patch to the next level wrt “real” 8 and 12 string, Tom Peterson and Doug Pinnick are worth checking. I also 2nd the comment about using fingers, you need to adapt technique but I really prefer the sound of fingers on my 8 sometimes.
  6. If you want 100% yes, although I drew the line at 8 ..... I already have to lug 3 basses to every gig.
  7. Interesting..... I heard a bit of dirt on both (a touch), on the 8 natural chorus but also on the emulated 4. I thought you had done that, but if I understand correctly that is the Mosaic doing it? Very clever as that is exactly what you need to get it close to the natural chorus an 8 string has. The EQ I am hearing is probably the bass preamp. Going to check the Mosaic out some more, very very interesting.
  8. If you do the PJ tribute thing right, you need fretless and 8 string I had a Dean Rhapsody 8 for several years, nowadays have an LTD B208 FM (modded with Aggie pups and OBP3) as it is significantly lighter affair. unless my ear infection and iPad speakers are decieving me I hear some dirt and modulation and some EQ?
  9. I use an 8 string for my Pearl Jam tribute, 3 or so songs. Sometimes when I am lazy I also emulate. Must admit that the Mosaic does a good job, but I find that longer notes and unprocessed (no fx) more easily expose my emulation. Question for you, did you intentionally process the sound and keep the notes shorter or was this “coincidence”?
  10. My Dad had 1 heart attack in ‘88, we still miss him every day.......... point is you are alive and are recovering, count your blessings. I would dep out the gig, even if you feel like a million bucks.
  11. I never tune, tuning is over-rated 😂
  12. Everbody got things out of their system now?
  13. Helix LT into any PA sounds great, so the Stomp will also sound very good.
  14. My first “real” bass! Same colour, same 2 eq setup, bought new in ‘93..... still gutted I ever sold it..... beautiful bass! GLWTS.
  15. So now things have seemed to calm down (seriously folks?), I have a 1000w GSS Sumo, any thoughts on passive FRFRs that are good and don’t cost as much as a fEarless?
  16. Sign of the times to an extent, just look at political debates etc. BC certainly is significantly more friendly than most forums but alas we are not immune to people getting aggravated and aggressive. We do however take all reports very seriously and will intervene as required (as Ped and Dad said, use the report button).
  17. I’d help him with that anyway.... he is pretty useless with setting stuff up and I have made nuts from scratch. Any 35” scale 4s worth mentioning? I am pretty sure Yamaha did one. To be frank I don’t get why he doesn’t buy a 5er......
  18. Asking this for a good mate of mine. He is a solid 4 string player (without wanting to go 5) but needs a B string for a new project so asked me for some advice on best options for a 4 string BEAD. Just want to throw the question to the community as I am sure it will yield results and I am not particularly well versed on the 4 string BEAD option (I have fivers when I need a B). His budget is around the 800 quid mark, he does not need it to be new, but it does put him outside of the Dingwall NG2 4 string arena. Any "proven in real world" suggestions that I can pass on? Cheers!
  19. Holy cow, that is one ugly amp. Good match to the rather horrid looking Wick signatures then 😂 Still, it may sound absolutely terrific.... maybe not.
  20. I do indeed have the Pro. The correct pic is on the Keeley website, Andertons is showing a pre-production pic .... typical. Great DBX 160a based compressor that does both soft and hard knee, fully automatic (works well) and manual. Basically it is both the GC2 and Bassist in one. I really rate it. Different to the Cali, which is Urei 1176 based, but very responsive/ clear.
