  1. Promised the mrs I’d try to stay “cost neutral” As I am not using that much atm (my tributes make up most of my gigs atm and they do not require bass synths) so can do without..... expecting to pick up another at some stage for sure (if it sells). Didn’t try your patches mate, again mainly due to being quite busy with the tributes..... still bizarre how the world has gone all tribute crazy on us.
  2. Just upgraded to a Helix LT, so selling off a few items to recoup the damage. Priced to sell, prices include tracked post in Europe. May have a few more bits to move on later, dependent on how the LT stacks up against some of my favourite stomp boxes. Am in UK (Manchester area) twice a month, so a face-2-face deal also not an issue. Mesa Boogie Subway DI in very good condition - I have the D800 as well, so can let this go. In used but very good condition. With original box. £190 SOLD Hotone Xtomp - I used it mainly for chorus/reverb and the most excellent SVT sim. Great amp and pedal sim, built like a tank. With original box. Used but good condition £100 Darkglass Duality - most excellent fuzz pedal (gated and old school fuzz in one) built in Finland. In used but decent condition. No box. £100 SOLD! Not sure about this one.... but don’t use it often. Future Impact Bass Synth pedal (nuff said, right?) in used but good condition. With original box. £280 SOLD (sob :)...) Line6 HX FX - the stomp box only Helix offering. This puppy controlled my entire pedal board and worked so well it persuaded me to go Helix LT. A thing of beauty that I will miss for sure. Comes with original box etc. £300 SOLD! Happy to send pics, please review my feedback as a seller on BC.
  3. Helix LT en route. Upgrading from the rather excellent HX FX makes sense. Now to recoup some of the damage :)

I'm going the other way!! ha ha! I'm using HX rather than LT and I've had mine up for sale for a while here.

      I noticed ..... :)

  4. 50% gear, 50% fingers...... I sound like me on any bass, any amp (love or hate it.... I have come to accept and appreciate it over the years). It really is futile to want to sound like any bassist. I do 2nd comments about Joe Dart’s tone, it does not do much for me.
  5. In all likelihood the best FL 5 you can buy at the moment..... wow.
  6. His bass parts certainly have a “made by guitarist” feel to them, so I went with guitarist who also plays bass. Regardless, what a great great great band......
  7. The Ampeg sim is really good on this. As a cab/amp sim it is worth the money already. GLWTS
  8. Wow, @Hellzero luckily you don't need another 6 string fretless.
  9. I used to own one years ago, great basses. GLWTS
  10. After quite a few gigs I still think the Electro I bought off @Hellzero is on of the nicest looking and sounding fretless basses I ever owned.
  11. Then you made the right choice for you, result!
  12. I think the issue was mainly the compressor, not so much compression. Still if you are happy, so am I
  13. I promise not to buy anything in 2019, apart from during week days and the odd weekend.
  14. For me the thing with these Flea Jazz basses (not the 62 JB one) is that they come across as something that they’re not.... ie a Moduray/Stingulus. Clearly Ernie Ball missed a trick by not giving one of the best brand Ambassadors they had his own signature, and I get Fender jumped at the opportunity to get him onboard. But why the need for a Jazz without JB pickups? Clearly Flea said I need something to replace my Modulus, build me something. An excellent opportunity to design something new and fresh, but no they go and stick a Ray pup in a Jazz body. Jaguray next? Or am I being harsh and just not getting it?
  15. I like the strap, just that bass...... in all seriousness, looks a good strap. I bought a Gruvgear Solo, nice and wide and I like it but double the price so looks a bloomin’ good deal.
  16. Welcome to the “right” side
  17. Well that was really helpful.... to the OP it is indeed formally called output jack. But that said, Dood answered your question. You need aTip Ring Sleeve (TRS), where the ring functions as a battery on switch so when you pull out the battery disengages.
