  1. Wow, that's good...
  2. I like the strap, just that bass...... in all seriousness, looks a good strap. I bought a Gruvgear Solo, nice and wide and I like it but double the price so looks a bloomin’ good deal.
  3. Beatles? Never heard of ‘em...
  4. Welcome to the “right” side
  5. Well that was really helpful.... to the OP it is indeed formally called output jack. But that said, Dood answered your question. You need aTip Ring Sleeve (TRS), where the ring functions as a battery on switch so when you pull out the battery disengages.
  6. I will reserve judgement until I’ve tried it, on paper it looks great .....
  7. Ooh, starting to look the part! Lovely,
  8. That is gorgeous! GLWTS/Trade Up
  9. And rightly so, if your back can take it why not! I still lug a heavy AB class Mesa around to many gigs. Especially if it costs 50 quid.
  10. Logical, I am also still not a convert. My D800 comes really close, but it is no match for my BB750. That said, I find that especially on bigger gigs where I use my amp mainly for stage sound I am taking the D800 as it's muuuuuuuuuuuuccccccchhhhh lighter and does give me the Mesa tonal character I like. Going off piste a little, my guitardist has a Vox MV50 Clean mini amp with Nutube ....... blew me away! Not sure how good it would be for bass though, literally not a clue, but man for guitar it sounded anything but solid state.
  11. Saturday, the first (we organised it ourselves, getting paid too ) Grunge Garden indoor festival. If you happen to be in the southern part of NL, come over (might be able to get you on the guest list). 4 90's tributes Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, NIrvana. I will be doing Pearl Jam, complete with fretless and 8 string bass for Jeremy.. https://www.roepaen.com/nl/concerten/01-12-2018-verwacht-grunge-indoor-festival-o-roepaen-podium/

  12. I have the Sumo 1000, tiny and very good for what it is... not as good as a top end Crown, QSC or Matrix but really very good considering the size and what I paid.
  13. Bloomin' heck.... might be the missing link between my D800 and BB750. Love the EQ section too.
  14. Pete Griffin, Troy Sanders, Tetsuya Ogawa, Chris Kael, Johnny Christ, Mike d’Antonio are a few worth checking, I do notlike all their bands but appreciate their playing.
  15. I am about done with the entire discussion. To each their own, after the initial "ooh Stomp is shiny and small" I realised it has ZERO use to me over HX and to quote @CameronJ I am looking at the Stomp with no GAS at all. I would go full fat or LT before Stomp, simple as. Last thing I will say on the subject, it is getting boring.
  16. That is missing the point of the HX..... different thing, different application.
  17. This... 2 people above just indicated they bought the HX over the stomp. If anything the Stomp gives people who feel a full fat or LT is overkill the option to go Helix without the large/complex real estate. So it lowers the threshold. But that does not mean the bigger version or HX aren’t right for those who have different needs.
  18. Yep, seeing the Stomp and HX as the same thing is totally missing the point of the HX. I adore my HX for what it is, a multi fx processor/pedalboard controller.
  19. Ah, so close to what I am looking for..... but not right for me unfortunately. GLWTS!
  20. Bottomline, if you want to play frequently and earn cash you are doing covers. When I started playing in late 80s it was all about original material. Now everyone wants to sing along (in the instant satisfaction era we are in that is not surprising). I have been lucky in that I am in an originals band and we do 5 or so gigs per year that are fun, but we pay for our studio by also doing tributes (basically same “originals” guys in all, with some “guests” in some of the tributes). Yesterday’s Nirvana/Pearl Jam gig paid for an entire month of studio rent, keeping it cost neutral
  21. Joe Lester, good call re a modern fretless master. Great player
  22. Thank goodness Rockbitch is long forgotten history
  23. I cannot live without mine (musically that is).
  24. Loving this a lot
  25. Considering they get nothing but praise, good call to at least try one. Mega specs for the cash.
