Result! I convinced my mrs to take the kids out for the day so was able to make some progress. Routing done, scratchplate cut and routed but still needs some sanding/finishing/screw holes etc. Notice the control cavity (freehand route), the acoustic foam is clearly visible. Amazing stuff, it is incredibly dence and even behaves like wood when routing. Plastic is still on the scratchplate in case you are wondering why it looks “dirty”

Eastwood Custom Basschat Edition Bass?
HazBeen replied to NancyJohnson's topic in General Discussion
Fair comment, but I would be interested in something that fits my needs (as will most), so you will surely need 50 interested people as you will likely lose up to 75% of interested people when speccing the bass/design. -
Eastwood Custom Basschat Edition Bass?

I’d be interested potentially, short scale solid body (check out this Serek for inspiration): https://www.serekbasses.com/sacramento -
Ooh, someone had Ready Brek for breakfast today......yes, indeed no Q control so it is a semi.

It is essentially the M80 minus the overdrive/clean blend/parallel out etc but plus the parametric mids. Great little preamp.

This exactly......

I think that would indeed work, although the LT does not have a FX Loop 3 and 4 like the full fat version so depends on what else you do with the loops (i.e. do you have any effects in them).

Toothpaste works really well, the simple white non gel version! A little on a clean damp cloth, apply thin layer, then rub off with clean dry cloth and presto.

I will post some of my “sock only” pics -
To give it a more “classic” look I have decided to create a Fortress Flashback type pickguard in 3 ply black. I’ve always liked the Flashback pickguard look. See pic for an example. Also need to install new side dots (nothing special, but some of the old one have sunk a little), so another small task to add. The benefit of going fuller size pickguard is also that I can go with more exact pickup placement and can place control knobs wherever I choose if it improves esthetics. I will be creating a pickguard template in cardboard, then transferring onto 12mm MDF and I will use the MDF template as the template for the pickguard AND as the pickup route template, it just makes sense. So next installment, template time...

Not really a game changer imo since you still have to stick a power plug in your pedal and attach the other end to the rail and the battery powers all pedals attached to the rail which makes it a daisy chain and thus a standard (likely much more expensive) battery powered board.
