  1. So I have had my Tecamp L212s for quite a few years (2012 I think) and they have worked flawlessly. L212, 8 ohm, 600w RMS handling per cab, 34Hz-19kHz so can deal with pretty much any tuning/number of string and at 23kg a piece they are stupidly light (but they are BIG). Both have the original Tecamp cover, although the zipper on one has died. Cosmetically obviously the cabs have marks, they have been used, but nothing huge (just quite a few smaller scrapes and tears as you would expect from a cab that gets gigged). Anyway, these cabs may well stay with me until I retire but since they are still in decent nick I just want to see if there is anyone out there that is interested in a trade against a 610. I always regretted selling my 610, so maybe we can strike a deal.. also interested in other 10” driver variations. Think Mesa, Berg etc. I won’t keep this thread open for too long, just a feeler and if there are no bites I would not mind at all. Would also sell as a pair for 1000 o.n.o. plus we need to work out logistics (probably plan to deliver in NE England or North of France.
  2. Wembley Stadium, love playing there...... now just to make it happen
  3. +1, although I did not have the isse with lost E on my poly. But for bassists the Uni is more than fine and costs less.
  4. I will PM you.
  5. Spot on assessment, I use an M80 single and double that have been faultless for years. The Vertigo is a great bag, although much less room for cables etc. I also on a Sleeve which I like, but it is not at the level of the M80.
  6. That was exactly my point, the BB434 is an excellent bass, as the B3n is a great pedal. You simply have to accept that you pay much more for smaller increments in performance and many people happily do. Therefore comparing a B3n to a Helix is like comparing steak with Kobe beef.... you cannot really compare.
  7. Horses for courses, thankfully or we would all have the same kit.
  8. The Yamaha (just an example) BBP34 is 3 times the price of a BB434. “Pretty similar” design and both sound good. Point is, you can get to a very decent level at X price point, then laws of diminishing returns kick in. I would still happily pay 3 times more for the improved sound quality, routing options, UI etc on the HX compared to the B3n.....oh I actually did that already And if I needed amp sims, XLR out and expression pedals I would buy a full fat Helix for 3 times the price of a Helix HX, but I like a separate expression pedal and have my much loved Mesa DI for amp/di to FOH. All things I already owned. B3n is a great bit of kit, but it is a BB434.
  9. Do I need two? Hmmmmmmm...... great price for a great sounding tube/mosfet hybrid,
  10. I have both the HX and B3n, whilst the B3n is a really good bit of kit for me the HX wins by a country mile for many of the things you indicate already. It also sounds better in my ears, including filters/phasers/chorus/dirt. Parallel signal chain is the key that unlocks the full potential, once you have that under control the B3n gets relegated to home use only. At least it did for me. But opinions are like @-holes, blah blah.
  11. Ask away Dood
  12. Cracking basses, glwts!
  13. You sir are pure evil 😉
  14. Well, I do prefer 100% silicone but yes 😂
  15. What fickle beings bassists are.... someone will have this ridiculously good deal soon.
  16. Feck me, how is this still here?
  17. We can agree to disagree on this.
  18. As do most instruments full stop. The entire music industry caters for GAS, like the new Stingrays there was no intrinsic need to upgrade/update the old. But let’s not get caught in yes/no discussions, Stingrays are quality instruments and for those who feel they are the right decision I am sure they will happily pay the price associated with them.
  19. Cracking amps, great tone and very easy to bias. Good luck with the sale!
  20. Still one of my favourite cabs ever, gigged one for several years before selling. Still regret getting rid of it.
  21. No, it isn’t. But the names I listed are reputable companies with a good name, not for nothing, that can build to your exact spec. I played Stingrays exclusive for 12+ years, quality instruments, but at these price points there is a lot of competition out there.
  22. Point is you can buy Shukers, highest spec Sandbergs, Bogarts, Alphers etc for that money.....
  23. Custom built in UK or Germany prices...
  24. I remember buying my 1st Stingray in ‘93, it was a 2 band Sea Green (blue green) 4... obviously an H. Cost me an arm and a leg, I was 19 at the time. Nowhere near the ridiculous prices they are now..... still, such is...Fender has also increased prices over time and to me a Stingray = better value for money.
