  1. What a beautiful bass, clearly a top class build.
  2. Marmite, you like or loath it. I happened to love it. Stuart Clayton did not as if memory serves me well the Blue colour is a respray to get rid of you the splatter. Nothing wrong with a lovely blue
  3. Stefan has a good grasp on dates so it must be a 94/95 then. I literally cannot imagine being without one, effortless neck, great tone. You will love it I’m sure.
  4. Lefty playing righty! For me it is simple, naturally if I use 1 hand I am a lefty (ping pong, forehand tennis, throwing a ball) but if I use 2 (double handed backhand, cricket, BASS) right feels natural...... odd but true. Couldn’t hit a string lefty.
  5. Congrats BTW, welcome to the club.
  6. It is Kurandt, apparently Kurandt is making onboard pres again.
  7. I really should do a shoot as pics are so so, but here goes. 2001 5 string, 1993 Jazz pickup 4, 1994 Soapbar 4
  8. Bogart? Never heard of them You have done your research, 1 comment. Stefan still makes the composite body style. He also offers the full wood body option. Great guy, great basses. I would peg your 5 to be late ‘90s, you can see mine as background pic on my homepage. Very similar, a 2001 model. BTW He has also introduced (you cannot see it on his website) a Jazz with a mainly wooden neck, a la Vigier.
  9. Is this the same bass you listed a few months back? Sabre’s are great sounding basses.
  10. I love Lollars, especially on Ash bodies. They balance the natural scooped character. GLWTS.
  11. Next Wick, a Streamer Stoneage 1 made from fossilised dino poo.
  12. This happens to me all the time, but then it doesn’t help that I am Wolverine and my adamantium claws keep shooting out unexpectedly when I play an open A.
  13. Stop it! The scribble strips thankfully are on the HX too, but amp modeling..... can someone please buy this before I crack. Fair bit off for a practically new full fat Helix.
  14. Harry, the HX is fine for your needs..... you do not have GAS...
  15. I remember smiling quite a bit when I saw an Oasis tribute NOasis a few years ago. And don’t forget Fake That.

2.6 and the cosmic balance is restored
  17. Both the L and M indeed have 6 bolts nowadays, but my old L was a stable as my new L so probably image indeed.
  18. Plus 1, G&Ls never had the issue ..... it is about quality of work, not number of bolts..... although more bolts mean you can be less accurate and still have a stable connection.

    NPD: Helix HX

Octave tracking is very good, generally digital means better tracking than analogue. The synths/organs are decent, if they are right for you I clearly cannot say. For my personal taste the Future Impact has the upper hand, so I kept it on my board. Same with the COG Octaver and the dirt pedals I kept, could the HX replace them? Yes. But sounds and settings are personal, for my taste some pedals were simply a better fit and I kept (and will keep) them. Others (B7K e.g,) had a direct HX alternative or I found a comparable sim (chorus e.g.). Almost convinced the Keeley can be taken off too.
  20. This is an insanely good price for what I consider to be one of the best sounding amps out there, ever...
  21. Line6 Helix HX. Modeling is here to stay. Still amazed every day just how quickly this thing has become the centre/heart of my pedalboard. Bogarts basses, I bought the 1st one on a whim, not expecting that I would end up owning three that I would use 90% of the time. To me they beat their nearest rival Status for sound, ergonomics, balance and playability.
