And here I was thinking you’d be “discreet” about it.

Is this even BC?

I can’t believe ‘m quoting this numpty: FAKE news!
-
Sorry I got to page 8 and then gave up: 1. The forum T&Cs clearly outline it is prohibited to decieve 2. The mod team and about 15.000 other active members already jump onto members if they misbehave, misrepresent etc etc. 3. 99.9% of BC users are here because this is a specialist bass site 4. 99.9% of BC users are trustworthy 5. No clear examples of deception can be reproduced 6. There is no real method to guarantee fakes are spotted To me this spells non-issue. It’s like putting a roundabout on a road nobody uses, you csn do it but it costs time, effort and does not solve anything really.

Why are you saying my name in vain?

You might be right, indeed not a Matsu as they had the specific plate. Thought it was FGN exclusively who used the made in Japan, good to know it is not.... live and learn. But as you say, so many variations and mixing going on...... wonder if the pickups are Fender replacements.... Wasn’t Cimar Hoshino Gakki?

To me the neckplate is a smoking gun, 99% sure it is a FujiGen made bass.
-
If I had to bet, I would say it is a late ‘70s FujiGen made bass, as they used the “made in japan” neckplate during this period. If it is indeed late 70’s the make is probably a Custom (sub brand of Ibanez). I have seen quite a few unbranded instruments from FujiGen so to me the neck is probaly original. Worth? 4-500 quid.... but I am no expert.

Age really is just a number, if you want something go for it and enjoy it. When I was 15 and just learning the instrument there was no plan, I just enjoyed it, put time into it and pushed myself to be the best I could be, 28 years on not much has changed and I am certain I will still be doing that in 22 years when I am 65. Health permitting age is far less important than effort and having fun.

An as new McMillen 12 step + midi hub. With this setup you can make a Taurus pedal out of any MIDI keyboard (Arturia Brute, Moog Minitaur etc) at a fraction of the weight of Taurus pedals. Comes with all the cables, adapters, etc and is in good as new condition. GBP225 for the 12 step + the hub, or trade against something interesting....
