1. Nope, still fugly..... runs away quickly. I've tried one myself now, it does sound pretty awesome for the size it is. Mega crisp and defined.
2. Cleaning out some stuff I never ever use: - TC Electronic Spectracomp - good as new - bought because it is tiny. A really impressive bit of kit but I do prefer my Keeley Pro even though it is 3 times the size and 3.5 times the price, I have pretty much used this twice and it is thus still pretty much new. New these are GBP80+ quid, as it is totally new looking for 60 shipped. SOLD PENDING - Corona Chorus+ - this is the limited edition black version of the Corona with the Tri Chorus setting - in very good nick. Great chorus, but I use an XTOMP that emulates the preferred setting I use well enough so I can free up some space. GBP116 new (yes, they are a little more expensive than a normal Corona), looking for 75 shipped. SOLD PENDING - OneControl Black Loop - simple pedal, 2 parallel loops for tight pedalboard - can also power the pedals you route through it. Simple but if works well. In good nick. These cost GBP60 new, looking for 35 shipped. - OneControl Minimal Loop + BJFE Buffer. This thing is amazing, it is a single loop, ABY, Buffer and a number of other things all in one. Great little pedal but I have 2 and only need 1. In very very good nick. Cost GBP75 new, I am looking for 50 shipped. I might be open to trades, but don't really need anything so just try me. Am in Greater Manchester area on August 7/8th if that helps.

Ibanez BTB 1806

I could btw imagine that in conjunction with an OBP pre they could sound a bit darker, Aguilar does tend to make their pre's on the darker side of the spectrum. I use a Glock 3 band pre, but often play passive which sounds great with the DCBs.

Ibanez BTB 1806

I wouldn't say they are particularly dark, they are quite even across the sonic spectrum and to me sound like a halway house between the warm tones of a Bart and the direct transparent nature of the EMGs. I could imagine that a "growly" bass would still be growly with the DCBs because they do not add or change much frequency wise. My Bogart is graphite necked with a composite body that sounds remarkably woody, the DCBs certainly do not sound overly dark in it. Warm yes, dark no.

I have the DCBs in one of my Bogarts, full, transparent, modern sounding pickups. Contemplating sticking them in all my Bogarts, i.e. Replacing the Barts they came with!
6. It sounds cool, but am holding my judgement open until I get to hear one in the real world. Bit muddy at hi-gain settings perhaps..

Ibanez BTB 1806

BTB series offer a hell of a lot for the money. I have not tried this particular model, but the ones I tried all were highly playable tone monsters that put a smile on my face. Personal opinion, you can't go wrong with these for the money they cost especially the Premium versions.
8. GAS gone but still looking to trade or sell.
9. Ped is likely wetting himself as we speak..... GLWTS
10. Somebody is going to be very happy, these are the dogs dangly bits.
11. Never watched any episode, friends tell me it is Lord of the Rings with sex in. Ed Sheeran does not strike me to support the sex thing too much. Still not interested in the slightest then
12. https://youtu.be/nU20TS1vvCg Only 15 strings, about 9 short of a real bass
13. Holy cr8p Victor, you are really getting rid of stuff. Lovely bass, GLWTS
14. Congratulations, lovely instrument.
15. Rather under-whelmed, certainly looking forward to the new Tool album much more than hearing the SS. But you can't deny it is a well built bass for sure.
16. I have one (and the larger trio 18), super light and very practical.... GLWTS!
17. To a large extent very true indeed, for everyone including JP. I view effects as a condiment, not meat and veg. That is in the fingers. But I do like some sauce and olives
Patitucci's sound comes from his fingers. The effects pedals he uses are almost irrelevant imo.
18. Nice, it is really amazing how Ibanez can make these high quality basses for a fraction of what you would pay "boutique". Have had BTB gas for a while now, this is not helping Did you keep the stock preamp or did you upgrade that too?
19. ISP Beta preamp pedal to the right me thinks, not a Tonebone The left pedal strikes me as a TC Hall of Fame, then a Flashback Delay....??
20. Just spotted this: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/kansas-cancels-european-tour-due-to-safety-and-security-concerns/ Based on this: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings/Europe.html They may be a quality band, but they are a bunch of whimps in my book. But they did make me giggle, especially since the POTUS recentle spent time here.
21. For me this represents one of if not the best bass amps ever...... good price too.
22. Gorgeous! Well done.....
