Ibanez BTB 1806

I have the DCBs in one of my Bogarts, full, transparent, modern sounding pickups. Contemplating sticking them in all my Bogarts, i.e. Replacing the Barts they came with!
2. It sounds cool, but am holding my judgement open until I get to hear one in the real world. Bit muddy at hi-gain settings perhaps..

Ibanez BTB 1806

BTB series offer a hell of a lot for the money. I have not tried this particular model, but the ones I tried all were highly playable tone monsters that put a smile on my face. Personal opinion, you can't go wrong with these for the money they cost especially the Premium versions.
4. GAS gone but still looking to trade or sell.
5. Ped is likely wetting himself as we speak..... GLWTS
6. Somebody is going to be very happy, these are the dogs dangly bits.
7. Never watched any episode, friends tell me it is Lord of the Rings with sex in. Ed Sheeran does not strike me to support the sex thing too much. Still not interested in the slightest then
8. https://youtu.be/nU20TS1vvCg Only 15 strings, about 9 short of a real bass
9. Holy cr8p Victor, you are really getting rid of stuff. Lovely bass, GLWTS
10. Congratulations, lovely instrument.
11. Rather under-whelmed, certainly looking forward to the new Tool album much more than hearing the SS. But you can't deny it is a well built bass for sure.
12. I have one (and the larger trio 18), super light and very practical.... GLWTS!
13. To a large extent very true indeed, for everyone including JP. I view effects as a condiment, not meat and veg. That is in the fingers. But I do like some sauce and olives
Patitucci's sound comes from his fingers. The effects pedals he uses are almost irrelevant imo.
14. Nice, it is really amazing how Ibanez can make these high quality basses for a fraction of what you would pay "boutique". Have had BTB gas for a while now, this is not helping Did you keep the stock preamp or did you upgrade that too?
15. ISP Beta preamp pedal to the right me thinks, not a Tonebone The left pedal strikes me as a TC Hall of Fame, then a Flashback Delay....??
16. Just spotted this: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/kansas-cancels-european-tour-due-to-safety-and-security-concerns/ Based on this: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings/Europe.html They may be a quality band, but they are a bunch of whimps in my book. But they did make me giggle, especially since the POTUS recentle spent time here.
17. For me this represents one of if not the best bass amps ever...... good price too.

SWR

Loved SWR stuff back in the day. Had two Goliath II 410s that were epic, Red Face that was great and a Red Head (the old 240watt one). The sh*t Worked Right...
19. With DSP now being (for me) at an acceptable level it has enabled me to get rid of pretty much all non-dirt pedals in favour of the new Zooom B3n. So the setup is now much compacter but still gives me pretty much what I need. My Future Impact is not in the picture, I use it standalone. 20. Can someone please buy this! These are awesome plain and simple.
21. Doh! Sorry, wrong signature..... but limiters and also HPF would/could help. But, you can also ensure you keep volume down which works best and is simplest.
I don't own a Keeley Pro but I have a number of other compressors and limiters to choose from Mcnach, good call on an HPF. I'll email the manufacture to ask if the amp in question has one built in as I can find no reference to one in the specs. I've got a Zoom MS-60B and I seem to think that there was a thread recently on that having an HPF in one of its models, I'll have look for the thread to see what was said. I can always run that in front of the amp if its suitable. It sounds like I should be able to get away using the amp and cab together as long as I don't go mad with it, which I won't be!
22. And you could always set your Keeley Pro to hard knee and use it as a limiter to protect against spikes....!
