Mmm that a interesting one you either love ashdown stuff or you don't , bit like marmite .🤢
True, for some reason Ashdown just doesn't do it for me and I can't really give a good reason.

Gorgeous already

Liam who? There are many a€&$%^# in the world I am sure Liam Gallagher is no worse than many others. But I never got the Oasis thing, it was all a bit uninspired to me but that's taste for you, totally subjective.
Excellent, isn't it?
I love the B3/B7K for it's modern high gain tone but - I am a little harsh here as it is really not a 1 trick pony - it was "limited" to different variations of that great tone. The AO has that but so many added flavours it may well be the 1 pedal to rule all others. Tracked a new song with it yesterday, I am still smiling today.

Just bought one...... incredibly impressive pedal.

Just showing your age now , Bohemian Rhapsody was number 1 for 9 weeks, November 23rd '75 to January 24th '76...... and no I am not on the spectrum, just a big Queen fan
Would this be a good time to roll out the over used "When Doves Cry" witty reply? For me, I will have the opening piano bars of Bohemian Rhapsody. Queen wrote the song for the inauguration and unveiling of my birth and it stayed at number one in celebration of my arrival in the world. God (John Deacon) was looking over me.* *ok, I made that bit up. The song was at number one when I was born.
Yummy, to me German engineered basses are where it's at. Price is reasonable, build quality outstanding and design whilst not overly "oooh look at me" perfect. But then I might be biased.... Good luck containing the GAS

I also bought one. I have never been a big dsp fan and buying this was in part to check up on how far modelling has come in recent years. To get to the point, so far I am quite impressed and I did not see it coming. Modelling really is getting to the point where it IS an alternative to loose dedicated pedals. I still will not be using the drive models but the octavers, filters, chorus, delay and reverbs to me are perfectly useable in live and even recording settings for a price that is hard to beat. Well done Zoom.

It must be me, but I have totally lost the plot on this thread. What are we talking about?

I am sat her with tears running down my cheeks. Soundgarden was one of the bands that helped me through some difficult years as a teenager and he is high up on my all time fav rock vocalists lists. His last tweet was 8 hours ago, saying he was back in Detroit Rock City and he was on tour. Really wonder what happened, pretty sure he was off the drugs but maybe his heart failed or so.
My Euro 4 growled 10x harder than my Streamer Lx4 did. It was almost too much!
Could well be, woods/build will all slightly differ between basses. As said in any case both cut through a band mix easily enough.

I have had several Spectors and Warwicks over the years. Warwick vs Spector will always divide opinion. To me the Spector wins due to a better B string and I prefer the EQ. Dependent on the year Warwick may have the upper hand re neck profile. I found the later Wick necks to have quite a flat D profile which I liked, the Spectors are a little more chunky. However, early Wicks were quite chunky probably a little more chunky than Spector necks. Are they substitutes? To me not really. Yes, Warwick basically copied the NS design for their Streamer model, but they use different construction and different electronics and for me are different enough to be classed a non-copy. Spectors are cleaner, more bass heavy. Wicks a little more growly. Both cut through a mix well enough and are definitely modern sounding. I would take a Spector Euro over a modern (so the last few years or non-German) Wick, but that is taste. Good luck!
Depends. The Later version of the B7K has additional switches including cut etc. The B7K Ultra is the one with the additional EQ as well as Cut switches etc.
I am not selling a B7K Ultra, I am selling a B7K. In any case, B7K sold, Avalon U5 sold pending -

Okay, I have GAS for something on BC and I need to free up funds to ensure I do not suffer the wrath of mrs Been. So for sale only (shipping included!): 1. Panda Midi Future Impact, good as new condition - GBP300 (arguably the best midi synth pedal for bass on the market, lives up to the hype) - SOLD 2. Darkglass B7K, in very good condition - GBP190 (I would consider a partial trade against a B3K, best hi-gain dirt period by our Finnish friends) SOLD 3. Avalon U5, in used but good condition - GBP300 (pre/DI industry standard DI for a reason, I love it but have 2 so can spare 1) SOLD PENDING 4. Keeley Compressor Pro - in very good condition - GBP190 (same one Billy Sheehan uses, one of the best pedal compressors out there and can do full auto as well as full manual) Equipment is in The Hague (Netherlands) but I still am in UK very often and will be in the Manchester area in the next 2 weeks and London area the week after so we could meet up if need be (price will stay the same, as I will have to make arrangements to take in my luggage). Happy to send pics if you are interested, in the meantime feel free to check my feedback and you will see I do not misrepresent what I sell and keep my word always. HazBeen
The TC Electronic SpectraComp must be one of the most advanced compressor pedals on the market today for us bass players but with only one knob it has got to be the simplest to operate. I'd highly recommend this one if you want simple. With a very easy to use app later on, you can also mimic the operation of all the well known compressors with this pedal and still have only one knob to worry about on stage.
I liked the Spectracomp, although I did not like 1 pretty key thing..... it was pretty noisy certainly compared to my Keeley. Do others find the same?
