1. Hi, I picked this wonderful bit of kit up in a trade recently and find that it offers far more than I need (basically I'm only using the tuner and compressor)! So this should go to a good home. Picture 1 is from a web site to show you exactly what you're getting, the others are to show the Gator padded bag, comprehensive instructions, etc. Sorry the pics are a bit crummy. In excellent condition and working order, and with all necessary leads (mains and usb). Looking for £200 plus carriage. Any more info, please message me. Thanks, Graham
2. Really surprised to see these for sale. I had a black five string which I traded on here, and whilst I love the Modulus Sweet Spot I got for it, I really miss the Bolin. Not mentioned above is the fact that they feel very light and certainly don't feel like you're playing a 35" scale bass. Good luck with the sale, somebody snap one of these up!
3. This is going back on the road due to lack of any real interest. My gain!
4. Sorry, only just got back to this. Walbassist, no, the refinish was done by someone in Shaftesbury, not a great job unfortunately. Mind you it started life as metallic blue and has since been every other since then. And Bob, above, I only have the bridge chrome cover with the large "F". Always had a problem finding a case to fit due to the length of the body, including the protruding neck joint. Am using a fairly basic teardrop case which fits it perfectly. By the way, mine isn't for sale. Cheers Graham
5. Hi Mick, it's me again. I actually have one of these (since 1972). No problems with changing strings to beadg, I've had it stringed this way for about 30 years. I have a bartolini mm type bridge pickup and a bartolini p bass pickup in the neck position. I've read many times that there were only around 200 made, but I have a Fender vintage book which suggests that there were more like 1,000. They do come up fairly regularly and go for around £2,000 in original condition. Unfortunately what you get for that is a pretty sub standard pickup. I love playing mine, they look a bit odd and are not light and suffer a bit of neck dive, but I love it! I've put a pic of mine somewhere on here, just search Fender Bass V. Cheers Graham
6. Now back on sale bump, bump! Surely one of the 1,000 plus viewers is interested?
7. Nice trouble free trade with Si. No problems whatsoever. Thanks Si. Graham
8. Bump for a beauty of a bass - nice video too!!! Sorry I'm selling, not buying.
9. Thanks for the compliments guys. Looks as though I've picked the wrong time to put this up? Graham
10. Hi, I've posted this somewhere else on here. I've had one since 1972, purchased in Sound City, Shaftesbury Ave. It's been butchered quite a lot over the years, pickups, and paint finish, etc. Now it looks like the below pic, with the exception of new Bartolini P Bass pickup in the neck position. The original Fender one I always thought was very poor, probably bodged from Musicmaster or similar. I've even had John Birch multi pole steel guitar pickups on it (which sounded great). I love the bass and it'll be the last one I sell, so if Zad reads this, it's still not for sale I'm afraid!!! I've got it now tuned from the standard B upwards and it sounds fine. Lovely neck to play, with a bit of neck dive from the large head and heavy old tuners. Cheers, Graham
11. I've made a couple of trades on here both of which went fine. However there is a period of time where you feel pretty vulnerable. With the increase in BC'ers looking for trades, has anyone got any tips for a safe trade of you don't live close to each other?
12. Absolute beauty. I have a five string version with a different finish and can't recommend highly enough. Sound is amazing. Good luck with the sale.
13. Hi, thanks for that! May eventually try to trade it for an SKB, although there don't seem to be too many around now that the Century is out. Graham
14. Oh well, looks as though this has suffered the pre Christmas gloom! Just had one offer, and a trade suggestion. So this is a shameless bump for a beautiful bass. If it's not going to sell, I'd consider a trade deal with a good quality five string Precision, similar to the Fender American de luxe, with two pickups, plus a bit of cash, if anyone is interested. Cheers, Graham
15. Hi, just a couple of pics of my LG3005 (only one actually!). I'll see if I can post more soon. Not sure about the shape myself, but feels great on, and to play. I think everyone knows about the B string!!! 16. Hope you don't mind me bumping this within 36 hours - it's taken me almost all that time to include photos with the post!! Thanks to HTH on here for the info. Graham
17. Hi, I expect I'm going to regret this, but I desperately need the space!! This is a great example of a 1997 Alembic Orion five string fretted bass, in flamed maple. Purchased new by me from the Bass Centre around the date of its birth. I've tried to photograph the buckle rash on the rear of the bass, which is not uncommon for this type of finish, but I'm struggling to find any other marks except a very minor dint on the top of the head. The brass and gold plate are all in excellent condition, as is the Pro Tec case. It could probably use some new strings, but not much point me putting on new strings if they're not to your choice. If you've not played an Alembic before, they have a unique sound and one of the best 34" scale B strings I've heard. I'm in Bournemouth and you'd be welcome to try this first. I've had the neck side marker dots enlarged up to and including the twelfth fret, which is clearly shown on the pics. My old eyesight struggled in poor lighting conditions to see the original Alembic dots! A link to the Alembic website for all the dimensions is here: http://www.alembic.com/prod/orion.html Current retail price is astronomical, but I'm looking for a sensible £1,400. I'd prefer a meetup rather than shipping, and I don't want to use Paypal, thanks. The pics hopefully speak for themselves. An update! Although I'd prefer a sale, I'd consider a trade for a good Fender (or similar) American deluxe P Bass five string (with two pickups), plus a bit of cash. Further update: For a bit of new year cheer, I'll let it go for £1,250 shipped (in the UK only). If I don't get this, it'll go back in the cupboard!! Finally uploaded via Photobucket, many thanks to HTH on this site. Thanks. Graham There is a limited amount of feedback on me in the feedback section under Graham1945, if you want to check that out.
18. No lanyard for me also, donation done. Keep the faith!!
19. Just sold my lovely MM fretless to John. Great guy to deal with and good communicator. Thanks John!
20. Hi AJ Sorry, no trades. I need to thin the collection to below ten!!!!
21. A couple more pics as promised to show the birdseye maple neck and full length.
