1. For sale 1989 honeyburst (I think) Musicman Stingray 5 fretless. Made in SLO USA of course. This was my main bass for several years, so it is used, but still in pretty good condition. I've tried to photo the nicks as best possible, there is minor buckle rash, minor string marking on the board from using roundwound strings, and a couple of tiny pits in the top neck side. Nothing affects the playability. I see there have been a few of these on E Bay recently, at much higher asking prices, which haven't sold, so I'm not holding my breath!! There is a spare (original) white pick guard with it and it comes in a pretty scruffy, but serviceable, rigid case. I'm looking for £625 including shipping in the UK, or £600 if you want to collect from the Bournemouth area - Bargain! Anything else you want to know, please message me. I purchased this new from Eddie Moors Music, Bournemouth. 34" scale, six bolt neck fixing. See pics for everything else. I'll put a few more pics up on a separate post. Cheers, Graham
2. I've bought several basses from the States, and can confirm all of the above. Also note that the vat and duty is charged on both the cost of the goods PLUS the cost of the carriage. For what it's worth I'd only buy from a verified retail dealer - check their website etc. Good luck!
3. Bought a strange Gretsch baritone guitar from Owen, and a great guy to deal with. Kept to his word and dispatched the guitar on specified day (I'd been on holiday). No hesitation on dealing with him again. Cheers, Graham
4. Thanks all. Serves me right for not copying the Bass Northwest advert when I bought the bass! Won't make that mistake again. Cheers, Graham
5. Thanks Tommo? I'll get the screwdriver out! Thanks for replying. Graham
6. I was trying to avoid that. However, if that is the only way, what am I looking for? Cheers, Graham
7. I have a 1998 Modulus Flea and would like to know how I can tell if it is fitted with the Lane Poor pickup. See attached photo. It doesn't have the LP logo but a Modulus logo. I understand that the older Modulus basses were fitted either with Bartolini, EMG or LP, and to my eyes this doesn't look like Bartolini or EMG. When I come to sell this, I want to describe it accurately. Any help, gratefully received. Graham
8. Can't understand why this hasn't sold, looks a gem to me. The mods must have cost near the asking price? Good luck with the sale!
9. Hi, I've now traded this for my Bolin NS5 with Ryan. Gigged the Modulus on Monday - love it! Thanks Ryan, good trade for us both.
10. Thanks Ryan for a smooth trade of your Modulus for my Bolin. Thanks also for being so trustworthy, sending your bass first so that I could use the same packaging to send mine back to you. Pleasure to do business with you. Thanks again, Graham
11. Found it! Harry's a great guy to deal with, excellent and constant contact, money came through quick. No problems, thanks Harry.
12. Mine's a 5 Mr Hunt. I read you only like 4's? Graham
13. OK, I'll head over there now! I have a black version of this. Surprised this hasn't sold at such a low price (£740), I thought I was going to get around the £1k for mine. Ho hum!
14. Hi Beneath It All, Will post on here if it's still available after Wednesday, you're second in line! Graham
15. Seems like the quickest sale ever! Sold, subject to the usual money/collection. Thanks. (will edit the topic, if finally sold)
16. I have a limited amount of feedback at, basschat.co.uk/topic/168109-feedback-for-graham1945 if you're interested. Thanks, Graham
17. Hi, I have a G&L L2500 made in Fullerton CA for sale only. I purchased this new in early 1999/98 and the serial number suggests that it is a 1997 (CL09822). I don't feel like removing the neck to confirm this date. This was my main bass for two or three years, but is now surplus to requirements. It is in excellent condition which I hope the pics show, there being two tiny blemishes (please see pics). As I don't slap, the finish on the face of the bass is pretty well how I bought it. I don't really know how I've kept this in such good condition!! Specs (mainly from the G&L website):- 34" scale, rosewood neck with black side markers in addition to the usual mop fingerboard dots. Two humbucking G&L pickups, 9volt preamp Neck radius is 9" or 228.6mm, width at nut is 1 3/4" or 44.5mm, very easy to play for a five string. Open back traditional tuners, which I think are half alloy to lighten the head to avoid neck dive. Saddle lock bridge with the option of stringing through the body. Controls are from top, volume knob, treble knob, bass knob. Top mini switch - pick up selector (three position), middle mini switch - two position series/parallel (bass boost, bass cut), bottom mini switch - three position, active with treble boost, active, passive. Finish is cherryburst and is a real eye catcher. I've just noticed that I haven't taken a pic of the case. It is a custom G&L also in very good condition and is included in the sale. I want £500 for this very nice bass, and I'm not interested in trades or offers thankyou. I live in Bournemouth, but will travel a reasonable distance to deliver, or you can arrange collection by courier at your cost. Please message me if you want any more info. Thanks for looking
18. Hi from another Bournemouth bass player. I've already placed an introduction on another "hi from Dorset stream". Good here innit? Graham (Souled Out South).
19.
Sounds like you have some nice basses Shame none of them have 4 strings. Do put them on the For Sale forum though i would say there are a lot of high end 5 stringers on there at the moment. Good luck Jerry
Thanks for the advice. The Pedulla has gone, along with an Ampeg 4x10, unfortunately got persuaded to purchase another Reverend - oh dear. Graham
20. This is now sold pending the usual, being sold on Tuesday 6th. Graham
