1. Hi, thanks for that! May eventually try to trade it for an SKB, although there don't seem to be too many around now that the Century is out. Graham
2. Oh well, looks as though this has suffered the pre Christmas gloom! Just had one offer, and a trade suggestion. So this is a shameless bump for a beautiful bass. If it's not going to sell, I'd consider a trade deal with a good quality five string Precision, similar to the Fender American de luxe, with two pickups, plus a bit of cash, if anyone is interested. Cheers, Graham
3. Hi, just a couple of pics of my LG3005 (only one actually!). I'll see if I can post more soon. Not sure about the shape myself, but feels great on, and to play. I think everyone knows about the B string!!! 4. Hope you don't mind me bumping this within 36 hours - it's taken me almost all that time to include photos with the post!! Thanks to HTH on here for the info. Graham
5. Hi, I expect I'm going to regret this, but I desperately need the space!! This is a great example of a 1997 Alembic Orion five string fretted bass, in flamed maple. Purchased new by me from the Bass Centre around the date of its birth. I've tried to photograph the buckle rash on the rear of the bass, which is not uncommon for this type of finish, but I'm struggling to find any other marks except a very minor dint on the top of the head. The brass and gold plate are all in excellent condition, as is the Pro Tec case. It could probably use some new strings, but not much point me putting on new strings if they're not to your choice. If you've not played an Alembic before, they have a unique sound and one of the best 34" scale B strings I've heard. I'm in Bournemouth and you'd be welcome to try this first. I've had the neck side marker dots enlarged up to and including the twelfth fret, which is clearly shown on the pics. My old eyesight struggled in poor lighting conditions to see the original Alembic dots! A link to the Alembic website for all the dimensions is here: http://www.alembic.com/prod/orion.html Current retail price is astronomical, but I'm looking for a sensible £1,400. I'd prefer a meetup rather than shipping, and I don't want to use Paypal, thanks. The pics hopefully speak for themselves. An update! Although I'd prefer a sale, I'd consider a trade for a good Fender (or similar) American deluxe P Bass five string (with two pickups), plus a bit of cash. Further update: For a bit of new year cheer, I'll let it go for £1,250 shipped (in the UK only). If I don't get this, it'll go back in the cupboard!! Finally uploaded via Photobucket, many thanks to HTH on this site. Thanks. Graham There is a limited amount of feedback on me in the feedback section under Graham1945, if you want to check that out.
6. No lanyard for me also, donation done. Keep the faith!!
7. Just sold my lovely MM fretless to John. Great guy to deal with and good communicator. Thanks John!
8. Hi AJ Sorry, no trades. I need to thin the collection to below ten!!!!
9. A couple more pics as promised to show the birdseye maple neck and full length.
10. For sale 1989 honeyburst (I think) Musicman Stingray 5 fretless. Made in SLO USA of course. This was my main bass for several years, so it is used, but still in pretty good condition. I've tried to photo the nicks as best possible, there is minor buckle rash, minor string marking on the board from using roundwound strings, and a couple of tiny pits in the top neck side. Nothing affects the playability. I see there have been a few of these on E Bay recently, at much higher asking prices, which haven't sold, so I'm not holding my breath!! There is a spare (original) white pick guard with it and it comes in a pretty scruffy, but serviceable, rigid case. I'm looking for £625 including shipping in the UK, or £600 if you want to collect from the Bournemouth area - Bargain! Anything else you want to know, please message me. I purchased this new from Eddie Moors Music, Bournemouth. 34" scale, six bolt neck fixing. See pics for everything else. I'll put a few more pics up on a separate post. Cheers, Graham
11. I've bought several basses from the States, and can confirm all of the above. Also note that the vat and duty is charged on both the cost of the goods PLUS the cost of the carriage. For what it's worth I'd only buy from a verified retail dealer - check their website etc. Good luck!
12. Bought a strange Gretsch baritone guitar from Owen, and a great guy to deal with. Kept to his word and dispatched the guitar on specified day (I'd been on holiday). No hesitation on dealing with him again. Cheers, Graham
13. Thanks again.
14. Thanks all. Serves me right for not copying the Bass Northwest advert when I bought the bass! Won't make that mistake again. Cheers, Graham
15. Thanks Tommo? I'll get the screwdriver out! Thanks for replying. Graham
16. I was trying to avoid that. However, if that is the only way, what am I looking for? Cheers, Graham
17. I have a 1998 Modulus Flea and would like to know how I can tell if it is fitted with the Lane Poor pickup. See attached photo. It doesn't have the LP logo but a Modulus logo. I understand that the older Modulus basses were fitted either with Bartolini, EMG or LP, and to my eyes this doesn't look like Bartolini or EMG. When I come to sell this, I want to describe it accurately. Any help, gratefully received. Graham
18. Hi Paul, is this still for sale? Graham
19. Can't understand why this hasn't sold, looks a gem to me. The mods must have cost near the asking price? Good luck with the sale!
20. Hi, I've now traded this for my Bolin NS5 with Ryan. Gigged the Modulus on Monday - love it! Thanks Ryan, good trade for us both.
21. Thanks Ryan for a smooth trade of your Modulus for my Bolin. Thanks also for being so trustworthy, sending your bass first so that I could use the same packaging to send mine back to you. Pleasure to do business with you. Thanks again, Graham
22. Found it! Harry's a great guy to deal with, excellent and constant contact, money came through quick. No problems, thanks Harry.
23. Mine's a 5 Mr Hunt. I read you only like 4's? Graham
24. OK, I'll head over there now! I have a black version of this. Surprised this hasn't sold at such a low price (£740), I thought I was going to get around the £1k for mine. Ho hum!
