I've got a wedding at Ansty Hall in Coventry Friday night, WMC in Sileby Saturday night, Jubilee concert in Bradford city park Sunday lunch then Jubilee gig at The Forge in Leicester Sunday night and finally an acoustic trio pub gig Monday evening.

Bought Pete's Hartke LH500 head. Absolute pleasure to deal with and the head was packaged very safely. Cheers mate.

I use Dunlop Jazz III's on the guitar and Jazz III XL's on the bass.

I'll kick this thread off for Paul I bought his Squire VM 5 J bass of him a couple of weeks ago. There was a bit of delay in the agreed posting as to his credit he wasn't happy sending it out unless he was 100% sure it would be safe. All the while he maintained great communication with me while he sourced packing material. Luck would have it I was gigging in Great Yarmouth at the weekend and Paul drove over an hour to the gig and delivered the bass himself. The bass was better than he described and really was out of the box new, I couldn't be happier. Cheers Paul

I'm considering getting a LH1000 head to replace my ABM EVO III mainly for the extra headroom and simplicity. I'm just tentative to pull the trigger on one as I'll be using it with 2x 8ohm Ashodwn MAG cabs (2x10 + 1x15) and not sure if it'll play nicely with them and can't afford to replace the cabs. Any thoughts?

Well lots of good news about the bass. Firstly having spoken to the seller about mis-selling it's condition and not mentioning the broken EQ plate he kindly offered to refund me 100 Euros back without any prompting. This will mean the bass only costing me £300 inc delivery/fees etc now which is a bit of a win, especially as it comes with a fitted hard case and spare strings. Secondly I've just got off the phone to yamaha who can supply me with a replacememnt EQ plate for £1.50 which I have ordered and looks incredibly easy to replace. I'm feeling so much happier now. The bass plays and sounds wonderful and I can live with the cosmetic marks, basses get them eventually, it was more the broken EQ plate that was bothering me which will be sorted soon. Search over

Well I am absolutely gutted. I found a Bex 4 on ebay Germany the other week which I successfully won - [url="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170817916194?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649"]eBay BEX 4[/url] I probably paid a bit over the odds for it as with the shipping and money transfer to Germany costs it worked out at £375 but I figured they don't come up that often, it comes with a hard case, the description implies it's in good condition and the colour was really nice. It arrived this morning and the condition is no where near what I was expecting. I found several big scratches, some all the way through the finish, lots of smaller marks, a dent in the finish near the strap pin and to top it off the top part of the EQ section is cracked and lose. And to top it all off one of our own BC members posted one for sale at the weekend for £75 less than I paid. I've messaged the seller to see what he wants to do about it but it's definitely taken the sheen of my excitement

I do audio mastering as a part of my job as audio engineer for a computer games company and have mastered a number of game soundtracks, songs, EP's & albums. It's an art and not just in making a song sound louder. It's doing the least ammount of dammage to a song, knowing when you have to apply processing (EQ, Dynamics, Limiting etc) and when you don't, being transparent with your work and being smpathetic to each song. Making all the songs work perfectly on their own and when sat with each other and allowing the album the ability to play from start to finish naturally with the right track order, the correct type of fade ins/outs and leaving the right ammount of time between each track. What it's not is slapping a Waves L2 plugin on and squashing all the dynamics out of a track just to make it really loud. If you can afford it go somewhere serious, somewhere that will give you listening sessions in the studio. There are also lot of online inexpensive mastering services which are really very good but becareful of the 'L2 Bedroom' mastering engineers.

Looks very nice indeed but like the Ibanez it's leaning more towards an electric than an acoustic. I'm just too picky but I really do appreciate all the feedback from you guys

Balls! I got massively outbid on the Zenith., it ended up going for what they cost new. Starting to warm to the idea of sourcing a Yamaha BEX4 and converting it to fretless, shame they're not easy to come by either lol
