  1. Spoke to technical dept at Behringer and they assure me that I will be able to use four separate aux send mixes. Yes they will be in mono, but not a problem, yes 2 of them are post fader by default, again not a problem. Mixer has now arrived. I will unpack tonight and experiment and will report back. If it isn't the case it will have to go back to Behringer. ATB Paul.
  2. My band have just got into IEM.... best thing we ever did. We use a wired system to keep expenditure down. Using a 4 channel Behringer headphone amp running off a Tascan digital portastudio. I had ACS ear protector moulds made for me last year, and just converted them to IEM's.... sounds great. At present we all share one mix. We are about to advance to having our oun individual mix (care of a Behringer X2442USB Mixer) which will be a great development I think. ATB Paul.
  3. I have some little used professional insert leads from Studio Spares. They are made of top quality cable covered in an expandable nylon sleeve and terminated with neutrik plugs. I have five leads in all. New they cost £22 each. I'm happy to let them go for £12 each plus a few bob for postage. Paul.
  4. Nice bass, what's the weight? Paul.

  7. Hi Guys, thanks for the info on Jam Hub, looks really interesting. Whilst I am sure you are all right about turning down, but we are a rock band as opposed to a folk band and the monitoring method, for me at least, has many other implications which might seem onerus initially but I believe pay dividends. Anyway hopefully rehearsing this weekend (if the heasdphone amp arrives from Thomann in time) with the new monitoring setup and can report back next week. Cheers, Paul.
  8. Our band suffers from not getting a decent sound in the rehearsal room and a recent experience of recording ourselves has led us to consider setting up in a similar way for all rehearsals and gigs, using headphones initially in rehearsal and then perhaps using wired earphones for gigs (so we don't look totally disconnected from our audience). Looking at headphone amplifiers we realise that generally you get one mix, if being fed from a basic mixer, though with aux in's it is possible to personalise a mix a little. Plusses include the protection of hearing, getting a really good quality foldback, hearing everything that's going on, and getting a good recording too. Not sure about the disadvantages except the extra hassle of setting up. However it could mean rehearsing without needing to use PA which is a plus in terms of time spent setting up and adjusting. Our plan would, in time, be to move to an 'in ear monitor' wireless system, but at present that seems a bit of a jump and an expensive one. Would really appreciate your comments, ideas, or similar experiences. Cheers, Paul.
  9. Compared to what they once cost, they go for peanuts. And, this one is almost new. As you say a great piece of kit, brilliant quality. Thanks for your comments. Cheers, Paul.
  10. brilliant pedals!
  11. Time to part with my much loved but little used Adat Recorder. Purchased 10 years ago from Digital Village. It has had literally 100 hours of use, which in terms of wear is nearly new. Everything works as it should and I would describe the condition as excellent bar a few scuff marks on the top surface. It comes complete with mains lead, manual, box, remote control. (I will also throw in 2 Studio Spares looms (one pictured) and 2 new tapes for personal collection, but not if posting as they are rather heavy) Whilst I am willing to post within the UK I would prefer local pick up. I'm close to M25 junct 28/A12, or could do a meet up within reason. So all you need is a mixer and you have a very tasty pro recording set up. I'm looking for £250.00. Paypal Gift/Bank Transfer/Cash on collection. I'm open to reasonable offers. If you would like further details please PM me. 12. Sometimes wishes should be just that......... But good luck with the sale; it looks a super finish.
  13. I'm using a classic Stingray c/w Aguilar TH500 & 2 SL112 cabs, playing classic rock. Tend to max out bass on guitar and have treble about +2. On the amp I cut the lower mids, boost bass and have treble at 0. I find this sound really cuts through especially across all the string and up the neck, also it gives a big fat bottom end to our sound, which is also well defined owing to the Gramma Pad on which the rig sits. Hope this helps. ATB Paul.
  14. You should find the date of manufacture in one of the small boxes on the left hand side of the back plate. Good luck with the sale..... fine amps! Paul.
