  1. so no storage hacks for keeping them straight and in order but so you can look through them with out causing a kerfuffle?
  2. Our originals band (The Fargo Railroad Co.) have been around for nearly 9 years now and I've been carefully collecting set lists, show posters, festival band/lanyards etc all that time, I now have a mahoosive pile of stuff that I want to keep so we can look back at it when we're too old to play and reminisce on the crazy times and the good times... Questions... Does anybody else do this? How do you do it?
  3. I'm finally fully back as a supporting member after a time in the wilderness playing a load of shows with no time to stand or stare at basschat :)

Fargo still kickin it yessir, just about to go back into the studio to record the next instalment :)

  4. I've had mine for almost as long and it was fine for most of that time, it's only more recently that they've started dropping out and it's infuriating as I can't work out what does or doesn't make it happen, I've tried different transmitters, receivers, cables, basses, rooms, trousers, phone in pocket / out of pocket. I'm going to gather all the bits of wireless kit that I've accumulated together tonight, I've definitely got 3 receivers on various boards and also maybe 4 or 5 transmitters somehow, I may have spares for the spares and if yours is behaving nicely I've probably got a spare transmitter and cable... Yesterday I was googling in desperation to see if anybody had anything in stock and the general answer seemed to be 'NOPE', suspect this is a general stock shortage due to the silicon chip shortage? I was looking at Sennheiser and Shure, even contemplated the boss one but that had bad reviews for the battery door always flopping open, ended up finding a 'b stock' line6 g55 which should be arriving today and will hopefully NOT cut out
  5. very very late to the party but for information...the line6 service centre is here: E & M Electronics Unit 28, 56 Goulds Close Bletchley Milton Keynes, MK1 1EQ Phone: +441908 375699 Email: [email protected] I've used them before and they've been fairly good.
  6. Having done a bit of googling, it looks very much like the drop-out is a known issue with 'some' line6 units, I just appear to have all of them at my house for some reason seriously considering jumping to Sennheiser, would've been Shure but they have discontinued their GLX products
  7. I'm having this exact issue with my g50, I've tried swapping out the transmitter, and the receiver, it makes no difference and still keeps cutting out. v annoying!
  8. yet another loom from John, this one a vvt j bass loom with appropriate kn*bs as the pots being replaced were tiddly ones...perfect fit and sound as always. top chap, flawless.
  9. defo don't get knock offs, totally agree! My choice is schaller too, never let me down, although I do regularly check that the screw in the body are still tight on my oldest sets before the hex key ones that seem solid as rock!
  10. Another brace of sweet patch cables from John. Thanks again dude
  11. Received Laurie's sx jazz today, exactly as described, superbly packaged, arrived before I thought it would and a top gent on comms. All round excellent transaction, thankyou sir
  12. is it not a bit weird though that the shure transmitters have the instrument cable coming out of the top rather than the bottom?
  13. oo, thanks for the info there, it does sound like they're an upgrade from my g50 mebbe then. I'm just switching over to peterson tuners though so is it easy to deactivate the shure tuner bit?
  14. could you detect any sound quality improvement when you went to the shure? how do you get on with the rechargeable packs or do you use AA rechargeables?
  15. I've a bunch of the line6 g50 setups across my pedal boards and they've always been ok for me, only once had an issue which was last weekend and I needed to change channel as it connected to the house radio mic frequencies...2 min fix doesn't mean I wouldn't be interested in trying the shure stuff if it's the bees knees
  16. oops...another Shuker specced and ready to order

    n+1 in action

Aww @Doodman, this is making me jealous. I'd love a "Sally's little sister" of my own... maybe a 32" headless 5 string, with the same type of pickups and guts as Mark's Zoot Wal-alike...

exciting times all round, @Doodand @eudeI'd love to see these take shape too! In fact, is there a 'all your basses in one pic' thread somewhere with your current stable on display?

I know what you mean Dood about the J thing, I am determined to spend enough time with one that I can find its sonic niche, my p basses are effortless in that regard

  20. is this still available? would it work as a mute switch? do you get signal clicks when you hit the switch or is it silent?
  21. Would you ship it to Derbyshire?
  22. indeed, and mighty fine they are too
  23. oo that is too nice!
  24. one of these days I'll have to get one of these, sadly not likely to be today, could you add a pic of the back of it though please?
