Sorry it didn't work out for you Andy Deal with confidence guys
Thanks for the vote of confidence matey! I got it from you to see what I thought and whether I'd prefer it to my MultiDrive, just to see what other noises were out there...It's a really cracking pedal, great variety of sounds available from it, surprisingly good for the money as well! The wet/dry blend knob is always a great feature to have as there's definately no bottom end loss! It did help me to work out what I wanted, my pedal board is very stuck for space and I think the catalinbread might do the one job I want as well as being of smaller stature...

hiya, is this gone now or is still available? If still available pm me please ta trade offers from any of the following (rough prices inc UK shipping): Maxon PT999 phaser (£60) Ashdown James Lomenzo Hyperdrive (£50) EBS Multidrive (£90) Sennheiser e604 tom/snare mic (£70) Sennheiser e614 overhead/condensor mic (£75) -
My suggestion (to OP and anyone else for that matter) is that you have a good lurk in the For Sale section on here. I got my BB Preamp for a steal and I love it - a great replacement for my Fulltone Bassdrive.
Lurking now
-
first impressions of the TLC are that it's leaps and bounds better (for me) than the EBS, my bassic sound is tighter and cleaner without any false grit, a great start! ...now to find a clean boost pedal or maybe a Joe Meek FloorQ...
Cheers Bud! new stuff coming soon! (when I get a break from the crappy day job)
Looking forward to that!

You can get reaper as a free trial version for as long as it takes you to decide whether you want to stick with it or not (this time has no limit form their perspective) and if you do want to finally do it, I'm told it's only £35 anyway!
The Lomenzo Hyperdrive certainly tempted me... but it's got such a hoofing great footprint! Haven't the space for it... I'm getting my SFT from Toneworld in Manchester, since getting the Low Drive from them.. Postage is free & they are very helpful & quick. Their price on the SFT is £145 ...which is pretty good for new. http://www.toneworld.co.uk/effects-c1/bass-pedals-c14/catalinbread-sft-bass-overdrive-effects-pedal-p377 I reckon the SFT can do the Chelsea Dagger thing!
Thanks matey! Hyperdrive indeed not little but sounds great...v cheap too comparatively! It certainly 'reads' like it will 'nail it' to me! Free postage may swing it, same price as guitarguitar otherwise...will try to catch any youtube action for it this evening
-
...and where have you found the best price on an SFT?
-
I really like the look / idea of that Catalinbread SFT! Will check it out on youtube tonight, I'm looking for something to give a little bit of valvey grind without being really gnarly (a bit like the bass sound at the start of chelsea dagger if that makes sense)... The Lomenzo is absolutely superb sounding but does way more than I need, I'd rather have something that just does the job I want 'really well' so I'm using it in its' sweet spot rather than tickling a pedal that can do loads more than I'm asking it to
-
I'm considering selling my Lomenzo Hyperdrive (got on a trade from Charic recently) if that interests you at all?
-
My good friend who's an accomplished protools and logic user is making the switch to reaper, which, to me, is endorsement enough, I'll be trialling reaper in the hope that I can get my head round it...
-
Frighteningly easy trade with Col (EBS multicomp for Aguilar TLC), beautifully syncronised posting and virtually simultaneous arrival! Great comms throughout, top chap! Thanks matey!
-
I just use my ebs OctaBass and it sounds wicked, more like the live version, but, really nice and big!

Wayhey, nice one! Another beauty to watch as it grows!!
Tried tweaking the EQ centre of the mid pot ? (But now I can't remember if it was possible or it was pickup output you van change !)
Indeed you can alter the eq centre of the mid pot, haven't tried that yet on mine, I think it's default is 600Hz (you can set it to 275Hz / 600Hz / 900Hz / 1100Hz)
