1.
Looking good...
yes indeed going to visit her tomorrow
  2. Been quiet for a wee while on this as Jon has had a busy LGBS and then had some guys in on a course doing builds but here's a bit of progress, body all together and the top carve/shape/bend has been done. Neck is well underway, fingerboard is on, side markers fret ticks are in... Lovely
  3. a wee update Nice piece of Swamp Ash for the body...this'll be the view of the back ...all glued up Yes my wife is incredibly loving and patient, she's amazing!! I believe there's a canonisation petition somewhere online
  4. Obbm, my band use him exclusively. Daves' service is outstanding and his cables are spot on.
  5.
That bass is just stunning. I have been hankering for an exact spec bass for a long while now and having seen how amazing this looks has made me want one even more. Shuker website, here I come.
Do it do it do it tell 'im I sent you
  6.
Wow, that is quick! Shuker sure know a good P bass! In these times of Fender prices being sky high, a hand made beauty lie this is appealing. Enjoy them!
absolutely my friend! they sing like no Fender I've ever had, resonant and true, none of the Fender foibles and all of the class
  7.
I feel very lucky to have heard NR1 recorded and it is goooooood! Very good!
you are most kind my friend
  8.
I'm screaming at your lovely new bass being placed on a rough gravel road..please tell me there was something inbetween the Bass and the road to protect it?
Haha there is nothing to fear, neither Jon nor I would be so insane as to simply plonk it down on bare concrete Bench dog... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0037Z7D0A/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_yO5KybK1CSKY1
  9.
That looks seriously good. That neck grain is amazing. If you're recording with it, it'd be great to hear some from it. Thanks for posting
Thanks mate, it's a lovely piece of Rosewood, Jon has a fantastic hoard and an excellent mental catalogue of what he's got. Here's a full length pic from less of an angle for you
  10.
Very very nice indeed. Love Jon's work.
the man's an artist mate
  11.
Nice. Very nice. I'm jealous.

Sexy!
Mission accomplished cheers guys
  12.
They are both stunning! Prefer a maple board myself but how is the rosewood one shaping up? Any discernable difference?
They both feel amazing to play, am really looking forward to plugging them both in at our next practise so I can give it a proper trial, thus far it feels a teensy bit heavier and the strings (D'Addaire Chromes) are brand new so need to settle in as they're very bright compared to the well bedded in LaBella flats on Nr1
  13. shortest build thread ever...I collected it yesterday, it's proper yummy!!! setting the action to be the same as my Nr1 Shuker bit of a dust prior to photographing this is where the website photography happens ...what you really wanted to see ...and a family portrait
  14. Mark may appear to be a newbie but he's been around on here for a while (just quietly), he has done a couple of deals before but nobody left him feedback (the bu*gers!) so here it is, his feedback thread...TADA!!! Mark bought my fretless ray recently in a carefully considered deal, he paid what he promised when he promised and was exactly what you want from a buyer. Excellent chap, deal with confidence!
  15.
This is stunning. If you don't mind me asking, what was the total build time as an estimate?
Thanks matey, beauty ain't she As I recall, I pushed the button in December and received the completed bass in early April? Just had another built very similar and that one started November and I collected yesterday
  16. Absolutely brilliant (in an evil genius kind of way) fuzz pedal! Zachary Vex is stone cold nuts!!!
  17.
Bump For Pink Slippers ..😂
Oi!! They're RED

  19.
Where there's a will, there's a way
doesn't help that I'm listening to a lot of Baroness just now and they use wonderfully grindy bass sounds
  20.
Ha ha If this sells you ll be able to buy a more conservative pair a shoes ... The red ones are sticking oot a mile .. Ha ha ..Nice bass
ha! those are my slippers
  21. She used to be mine, wonderful bass, just wonderful!
  22.
I second that emotion
She's a beaut in all respects, fo sho Her twin is being completed at the minute http://basschat.co.uk/topic/298739-shuker-p-bass-ii/
  23. Very tempting, even though I have no current use for it
  24. Our live set is diversifying and a fretless is becoming very useful, tried it with my fretless ray but the sound is just too different from my Shuker Nr1 so I'm scoping out a fretless PJ to complement my Nr1 & Nr2 Shuker P basses...then I really am done...I think... Here's the top wood, Burr Elm rescued from the great Sheffield tree cull by a friend of Jons' The body will be swamp ash again to keep the core sound similar to my fretted P basses. Seymour Duncan SPB-1 as per my other basses but adding an SJB-1b at the bridge so I can mix it in occasionally for that extra mid fretlessy-ness. Ebony fingerboard cos Jon has found a lovely piece of dark Ebony.
  25.
Ooh, love a pinstripe! Very sexy!
Bit like the seam in a stocking
