I can only comment on the g&l but they're really well made and versatile sounding beasts!

My thoughts on a couple of points raised above Jazz comparison...hhmmm I'd say it's generally got a bit more sonic beans due to the two humbuckers and there's a bit of an s1 switching homage in the series / parallel options in the 4 way rotary switch. Neck-wise the nut width is 42.5mm according to my old school ruler but the profile being asymmetric means it feels even more comfy than it sounds, a tad wider than a j but fitting the hand better and just sitting nicely. The zero radius along with the superb fretwork helps make the whole thing play like greased lightning. The 24 fret fingerboard coupled with the relatively small body / lush contours provides excellent access to the whole dusty end but without compromising overall balance. Does that help?

did a great gig at The Cremorne a few weeks back but sadly nno pics from that one so 'obviously' it never happened we played at Shakespeares this last weekend for a new promoter, one we wanted to impress and despite our lead singer having vitrually no voice we bulled through and sounded frickin badass I believe, 'embarassingly excellent' was an overheard comment

Yep, this was an amazing night, two other great local-ish bands on and a good crowd with some new friends in there as it's always nice to play to new people and see them subconsciously nodding along and tapping their feet or dancing! A proper stage for a change with a skilled soundman and great pa, what a difference that all made!!

[s]For sale is my Thumb bolt on 5 string received recently from Kev as part of a trade deal. I'd forgotten just how awesome the low b on these is and how magnificent they sound and feel but I'd also forgotten that there's something about the neck profile that makes my hand hurt (which is why I sold my original thumb 5 neck thru many years ago). It's is amazing condition despite being around 14 years old! I can't see any dings or bumps on it, it just looks and feels like stunning warwick with that typical Ovangkol grain shimmer catching the light. It really is a great player with a nice low action and no fret buzz. Not light at around 10lb but balances really nicely on a decent strap. Comes in its original hardcase with a basic brown strap and a tin of magic warwick-wax. The JANII has its little side tabs missing (apparently this is a fairly normal occurrence) but doesn't affect it's stability at all. 3 pcs. Ovangkol bolt on neck with Wenge fingerboard Scale: 35" Bronze Warwick Frets Just a Nut II 2 pcs. Ovangkol solid wood body, oil/wax Finish JJ MEC Pickups Active MEC 2-Band electronics Warwick Black Hardware Local collection from Sheffield is more than welcome.[/s]

[s]For sale my ACG Graft Finn 4 string, got this recently to try as I'd not tried one of Alan's passive basses before (tried plenty of his active ones though!) and while I love it, it's so easy to play and sounds awesome, I'm really missing a 5th string and just know it won't get used cos I really need a 5 string that fits my hands as well as this 4 string does! Zebrano top Alder body Hipshot Type B (19mm spacing) Assymetric neck carve and zero radius fingerboard Gotoh GB7 tuners. ACG Custom Pickups with FB humbucker pups in 25mm wide housing Hipshot string tree. Volume/Tone/4 way rotary pickup selector (neck, both series, both parallel, bridge) Price includes a hiscox ebs hardcase and uk shipping.
