if you need any guinea pigs for your straps I'm sure discreet and I could happily road test one each another really really useful touch would be to have an option to make the strapbutton holes big enough to install schaller straplocking ends without havng to cut into the reinforcement!
Any advance on lengths or is 100cm to 150cm the ideal range?
you could do the 100-150cm as the standard offering but also potentially offer one in 70-100cm for those who like to pick their nose with their bass?
What length range, minimum to maxiumum lengths?
I use the minotaur ones too (classic bass in black and one in brown) and would be very interested in trying out a contoured one from you, I'd also agree with discreet on the length adjustability (100-150cm)

Fender JB Marcus Miller Signature MIJ - fake or not?
andydye replied to urrfaust's topic in Bass Guitars
yep I can see the difference in the contours there...hhmmm also, if you'd paid however much for a legit Marcus and then ha dsomeone proper do some mods on it (spending another couple of hundred) why would you then sell it so cheap? summat smells a bit like a fishing village maybe? -
That can be a problem, one just ain't enough. Glad yours is all up and running.

When you get a good `un, those 70s Precisions are cracking basses. I`ve probably had more compliments re tone using my `78 than all of my other - considerable I might add - basses I`ve ever owned put together. And many of those have been from non-bassists.
Cheers guys, it certainly feels like a 'good-un', nice n light and sounds awesome! -
I usually catch myself thinking 'I haven't made a mistake yet tonight' just before I screw up... I'm trying to stop that thought before it starts now so I can continue not making mistakes
I just got one like this & the basses move all over the place & knock each other if you're not carefull putting them in posistion
hhmmm, not so good for speedy guitar changes mid-set then...
Just ordered one .. thanks guys .
I've seen the hercules double stands and they look good, not cheap, but good, I've used the single grab stand for years and they're great. I wonder how stable the double will be when there's only one bass on there? One problem I had with the herc stuff was the width of the jaws being unsuitable for some 5'ers and most 6'ers I tried on there...not a problem for me anymore as I'm back to the 4 string p bass for just about everything

summat like this from flightcase warehouse?

...need a vinyl banner now...how big a banner do folks get for a stage back-drop? depends on the stage presumably we're looking at local festivals and outdoor gigs, don't want something too massive but don't want it too small either...what have folks got?

the zzazzle hats are pretty darn good, their t-shirts aren't bad too, the basic ones feel a bit cheap but then they are a bit cheap, the printing's pretty good too...
D'addario do a set of nickel half rounds. I have a set on my Overwater and they are lovely strings. Strings direct sell them.
oo! these ones http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/bass-guitar-strings-sets-c34/half-round-sets-c233/daddario-daddario-enr71s-4-string-half-round-45-100-short-scale-bass-guitar-strings-p909? do you notice the difference between a 105 e string and a 100 gauge e string? -
Anyone tried these quarter round LaBella? http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/bass-guitar-strings-sets-c34/labella-deep-talkin-4-string-stainless-steel-quarter-round-45-107-light-bass-strings-p1218 I'm looking for something a bit more thumpy than roundwounds to put on a j that I've got incoming, kinda tempted by the status half rounds that everyone raves about but they feel a bit too 'stainless steel' like under my fingers, I'm used to nickel or flatwound and stainless steel roundwounds do seem to dislike my fingers... are there any half round nickel strings out there? or should I just put flats on the j and thump it up??

Roger might be new around here but he's a solid guy, we arranged a postal trade whereby he posted his kit first (being a newbie) so that I could then send mine up on receipt of his and all went perfectly. He posted when he said he would and I received exactly what I expected good description and item well packed. Many thanks matey, welcome to basschat and may you have a long and happy trading history on here
They were the DXR10 and the ART410 recently discontinued but available here at a discount. BOth makes have excellent reputations for reliability. The drivers in the RCF's have a great reputation. I use passive club series Yamahas and have a soft spot for them but there was a real lack of detail from the DXRs, I was underwhelmed, they weren't awful, just a bit boxy and compressed with a lack of detail in the vocals. Particularly noticeable on a duet with two female voices I use for testing, the ARTs separated the voices, the DXRs turned them into a mush. By the way my Yamaha floor monitors are 15s (bought second hand) another reason to go for 10's is they are too big for most of the venues we play and I have just moved to 10's for that reason. I've also bought some Behringer B205Ds which work surprisingly well for vocal monitors if you want to go really small
hhmmm, shame the 410 is discontinued, they do the 310 which 'looks' similar on paper but is heavier, I can't imagine it's as good...? might have to stick with the yamaha...
I've been using these the past few weeks and they are stunning little floor monitors... maybe a bit outside your budget though http://www.dynacord....278_axm12a.html
those dynacord look super sweet but are indeed a bit more than we were hoping to pay
