1. try the pound shops for allen keys dont use anything else...you may then get some adjustment...but only once as you chew up the hex
 2. most advice covered above i do a bit of emery taping...at the centre of the pot...a dab of flux check the iron is up to temp by doing a little blob on the end place the iron on the flux with the multicore as well and wait....it should start to run after a bit 30w is a min i suppose to get heat 1 in sufficient quantities 2 in a small area you dont want to fry the whole pot waiting for a small area to warm up for future solder on a piece of copper wire...then you can connect and disconnect at lower temperatures easily a sort of short bus or connecting tab

 16.
Hmm the missus is a painter/sculptor and strongly advised against white spirit, and I remember when I was a kid I used to make airplane models and white spirit would completely flatten the details in the plastic... I will try next a less diluted amount of washup liquid on the remaining bits, then will mix it with vinegar if still not good enough and see how that goes.
i can understand oil painting not liking some white spirit around or linseed oil maybe its not such a good idea after all... good luck

Or will any one do?
some blend pots dont come with the cross wiring barts do i got mine from iceni music...mike walsh its wired for the crossover and easier to connect up... ps..i usually put the hot lead into a vol and or tone pot on pin 2...it always works and you get finer volume control do you have a solid shaft or split shaft vol pot

Working nights temporarily at the moment so my brain is a bit slower than usual, but I think I have an idea of what I'm doing Thanks for the input peeps.
those diagrams look a bit advanced for a simple jazz pair wired switched parallell/series with a simple switch the switch should be double pole on/on/on if you want pll/srs
 22.
Hi all, Just wondering, I've always been very conservative when it comes to strings and almost always just grab a set of Elites Stainless. However, I see 'Low tension' bandied around - how does this work when the string is at the same pitch? Does it feel weird? Any recommended makes to try out first? Cheers, James
TI jazz rounds....tension is low they can be bent they feel really silky smooth and have high output any reasons not to use them because they buzz etc  not for those who cannot set their own bow, action, and intonation and dont want the hassle of getting it done by others
