2. Someone is about to get a fiesta red P and then mine's next!
3. Now waiting for my heavy relic P, olympic white over Candy apple red, matching headstock and chrome covers. The weeks are going incredibly slowly to say the least
4. Bump! I used the bass for this video and recording. Lots of B7K as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLLFiTmTiOQ
5. One of my bands got a call to play outside the Amex football stadium yesterday for the Brighton vs Bolton game in the new FanZone. Was a fun gig! Got filmed for a new local TV channel for Brighton, had a very healthy crowd for a alt rock band and got free tickets to the game + food. How good is that? This was the first time they have ever had live music + beer available before the games and we've already been asked to come back next season!
6. ALL pm's replied to. I do apologise for the lack of responses as I've been working/rehearsing/gigging and doing everything and anything in-between! Regarding the dinks on the bass, they are all within 5mm, there's 3 main offenders: 1. half a inch from the bridge under the A string 2. On the back of the body 2 inches from the contour 3. On the back again, near the small horn showing a bit of wood Just so everyones aware and for my own piece of mind!
7.
Can we have some more pics of the damage mentioned, and of the bent tuners?
Sure, drop me a email!
8. Wow sorry for the late replies guys, been rushed off my feet. All PMs replied too. Will have the weight in 5mins!
9.
Lovely bass. What does the Special refer to? Is it a jazz width neck? EDIT: I should read. Slimmer neck sounds good - similar to a jazz?
Check out the website http://www.fender.com/en-GB/series/american-special/american-special-precision-bass-maple-fingerboard-black/ I wouldn't compare the next to a jazz neck, it's slimmer back to front with a P nut. I find this really comfortable! Will get back to all your PMs tonight once I'm home from work
10. Will try and get the weight tonight for you guys!
11. Selling my used and much loved American Special Precision. It's a smashing bass, but I've recently got a Tony Franklin P so it's not been getting the love it deserves. It's got a Fender grease bucket tone circuit that sounds pretty nice, a slimmer neck that is really comfortable. I've got it slung with some D'addario Pro steels and also fitted a Hipshot Xtender. It's well used and has a few dinks and a lot of pick evidence. I also still have the original white scratch plate as well! Looking for £450 but I'm open to offers + part ex's for pedals such as DOD Meatbox and synths Added more pictures of fret wear here https://www.flickr.c...57646019794797/
12. Up for a grabs is my Epiphone Ripper, these have become pretty rare now! - Hard maple body - Bolt-on hard-maple neck with satin finish - Maple fingerboard with high-gloss polyurethane finish - Abalone dot inlays - Brass nut - Large-key open-back tuners - 34" scale - 1.65" nut width It's in good nick, sounds great especially with the brass nut and the pup placement. I'm the second owner of this. Theres a few marks here and there and a bit of a nick neat the nut on the bass side - these were courtesy of the previous owner. One thing I should mention is that the top tuners (A & D) have been bent slightly back but It's never bothered me nor effected tuning. Good action and currently strung with some fresh D'addario pro steels. I have a old fender soft case with a bit of a busted strap but it fits. This bass has won me a few compliments just because it looks the nuts when I've taken her out! I have too many basses so this one has to go with regret. [s]Looking for £230 but I'm open to offers + part ex's for pedals such as DOD Meatbox and synths[/s] SOLD Any questions feel free to ask!
13. It's solid state right? I really wouldn't worry about a back up, get some spare fuses maybe. In my opinion, if you're worried about the head failing then maybe it's not right you. The money you'd be spending on two BH500s could get you something "better" but then that's for you to decide! I know you said you're not into light weight heads but the Aguilar Tone hammer is really worth a look.
14. Hey bud, I'll take this is the sale falls through!
15. This is such a beautiful bass
16. Dep gig I was on for a band called Kenelis as main support for Republica. This was at the new Q alternative Stage at Pride - Brighton Was going though a Ampeg rig with lots of my Darkglas B7K and my trusty Fender TF P! Here's a cover of Foos - All my life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV4oS5pEW7o
17. So I've had my bass whammy since they hit the shelves.. Am I the only one who is finding the new digitech Bass Whammy fairly noisy with distortions or just in my chain? I get a weird high(ish) constant ringing whether the whammy is on or off. It won't take 9v supplies from my Fuel Tank or my new MXR brick so I'm using the supplied plug. I'm assuming it's the power supply that's making it a bit noisy or maybe I've got a lemon and not realised?
18. Can you PM me some pictures of the Meatbox please?
19. Heart says yes, wallet says no
20. Proud owner of the fretted version. These sound amazing! GLWTS
21. No way would I/the band allow a drummer to take money out of a band fund to buy himself a new snare. Same goes for any gear I/they buy. You pay for it your self. Just a rule of thumb really
22. This looks great, nice to see a PJ as well! Matching headstock and I'd have been jumping on one. Fender do offer a very high spec (in my opinion) PJ Precision bass. Hello, Tony Franklin sig? Also looking at the specs, the J pup on the jag looks to be very similar, if not the same as the TF precision.
