1.
Uh! Thanks...Bergantino makes active speakers, too? I did not know this! Thanks man! Great Bergantino cabs!
They don't make them any more, but made a 1x12 and 3x10 for a few years.
2. My initial thought was the barefaced one you mentioned. Owen has a Bergantino IP112 for sale at the minute which would fit the bill too.
3. They build to spec... If what you want matches the specs of the J and P neck they use! I asked about a 50s/60s P neck and they couldn't do it. Things may have changed...
4. That's a good point - what's your input signal like? Is it healthy enough to drive the Markbass effectively?
5. More speakers would help you more than more watts. Add another super compact. I say that knowing it's not cheap or easy to do, but the results would be better than adding more wattage.
6. Russian Circles fan are we Andy?
7.
Thanks Ian. Your new bass looks fab as well
Thanks Gareth, I'm pretty happy with it I have to say!
8.
Just to be super fussy, does anyone else wish they'd use black screws/bolts to hold the speakers in?
The vintage grill takes care of that!
9. Looking good Gareth! Not long to go now.
10. So... This arrived today! So chuffed!
11. Always wanted one of these in sunburst... One day...
12.
Approaching the end here. Should have my ACG soon. All the woodwork is done, but don't have a final date yet...
And we have final pics! Just a setup left to do and she'll be winging her way over the Irish Sea!
13. +1. Stop visiting said repair person IMMEDIATELY!!! That's the oldest and potentially most damaging bodge in the book, second only to replacing the fuse with a nail or bit of foil! Now if the fuse SHOULD be failing to protect the rest of the amp it won't. Cue the magic smoke smell...
14. Have you got another cab you can try with the amp? A goosed crossover will certainly be an issue for an amp (depending on the manner in which it is goosed of course!).

16.
The OC-2 is somewhat more expensive, around £80, but maybe I could substitute this with a cheaper equivalent, and Robert is your mother's brother!
The Chord oc-50 is the job for you. Under £25 delivered on Amazon at the minute. One of my favourite octavers I've tried. Preferred it to the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe I had just before it and it tracked to a low G pretty repeatable. Also it has a switchable drive option that dirtiest the octave sound which might mean you don't need the distortion pedal. If it were me I'd be tempted to go with the Chord and a used EHX Micro Qtron (or a mini qtron for preference if you can find one and don't mind the very un-mini size) for the most synthy fun...
17. Kala solid body ubass, or a better built equivalent. Edit: oops! Missed the full scale requirement... Something ibanez soundgear-ish then.
18.
Here's the latest incarnation of my board.... Just finished patching it, now for a test! Something needs to go to make room for my future impact.... I'm thinking it's the Stanley Clarke WAH!
Awesome board! Could you mount the wireless under the board? Alternatively there's a bit of space around the edge and between the pedals - nudging them closer together and a slight reshuffle should get you the room you need.

N Sadowsky BD

That's lovely! Always fancied a Sadowsky (even took time out on honeymoon in NYC to visit with the man himself!) but just never pulled the trigger...
20. They have a kickstarter campaign for a charge pump? Now I've heard everything...
21.
Not a bad call, but any new guard is a custom job. This isn't a Fender P obviously, it's just not that easy to find off-the-shelf guards. Besides, so many people here and over on TB have said 'leave the pearl guard!' that I'm going to delay changing it and see if it grows on me. It IS quite a good fit for my retro-country band. And doing nothing is always strong motivation for me...
There was somewhere/one on ebay that used to do replacement Lakland guards... Can't remember the name though... We'll get discreet jnr on the case and it'll be painted gold inside a week!
22.
He's sold it. Such is the ever-spinning carousel of Basschat GAS.
What? When did this happen!?
