1. As a matter of interest, are the knobs included, and if so are they the modern or vintage style? Ta!
2. String it with flats. Learn some Jamerson...
3. Just saw a pic of a black one on Bassdirect's FB page... Nurse, hide the credit card!
4. Bought a Westfield P about 5 years ago for £20... Solid wee bass. Chucked the mother-of-toilet seat pickguard and bought a mint one from someone here for a tenner. Stuck a SD QP in it I had sitting around. It sits at my mates/sometime guitarists house ready for my next visit.
5.
Hi Alec, Mark at Limelight has a stripped 1963 Precision for sale at £2495 - nice price. Factor in a white refin and I reckon that's reasonably priced! http://www.classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/basses/1963fenderprecision.htm
Yummy!
6. Sorry to see this - I've lusted after both your ACGs, but alas I'm currently potless... Good luck!
7. Has ANYONE seen a black one yet? Conflicting info whether it will be gloss or matt finish...
8. I find myself strangely drawn to this model despite: 1). Not particularly liking the available colours 2). Not particularly liking the pickup arrangement 3). Not particularly liking any Darkglass pedal I've owned 4). Thinking a whipper snapper like Nolly Getgood has no right having a signature bass considering he's really a glorified guitar player... 5). Recently deciding I was sticking to 4 strings... Despite all this, my credit card feels in mortal peril...
9. Your wish is my command! PM me your email.
10. ...and it may be some time. One of Alex's 3 staff is hospitalized after a serious (non-work related!) injury... Hope the guy is ok. I'm in no hurry for my cab and I'd factored some delay into the wait for the premises move anyway, so I'm happy enough to wait.
11.
Did you get it already ........ and when you do will you be posting pictures?
No word of it yet... And yes, but as I've said, it'll probably look like... a bass cabinet!
12. Oh goodness it's back to haunt me! Any interest in a Fender Deluxe P Bass Special in trade (jazz neck, pj, chrome red, rosewood board)?

A 1u solid state bass preamp? Surely you've considered the Kreuzer? http://www.albertkreuzer.com/preamp.htm Edit: I believe the sadowsky on board preamp is similar to what you're already looking at...
14. Ashdown James Lomenzo Hyperdrive. Possibly the EBS Sheehan pedal. Don't know if They're as extreme as the Brimstone pedal though. The hyperdrive is a bargain! Hyperdrive Demo With James LoMenzo: http://youtu.be/aQDSDA929Sw
15. My favourite pedal. Have a bump!
16. I'm so annoyed at having no money right now! Watched this bass since day 1 on here and always fancied it... Interested in trades?

Decisions...

Haven't tried that many, but of the ones I've heard the Aguilar Agro is the one I like the sound of best. Just another one to throw into the mix. Owned a B3K, B7K and VMT, but none of them did anything for me. There's something in the upper mids of all 3 that I didn't like.
18.
I once made the mistake of airing the view that perhaps, on reflection, the one in one out rule, should apply to her handbag collection. I won't make that particular mistake ever again
I too have made the handbag mistake...
19. Upload pics to photobucket and put a link to the folder here. Easiest way!
20. Oops... That's why I have everything delivered to work and watch the post box like a hawk!
21.
I ended up grabbing a 3Leaf GR2 which sounds great but isn't exactly what I was looking for.... Would you guys rate the sound of the OC2 above an Octamizer? I have the latter but its definitely a different sound to the usual synth octave bass sound. Maybe I need to play with the filter knob a bit more to dial it in just right
They're based on the same circuit (as are 90% of octavers out there) but the Aguilar has a few... refinements! The filter knob is where the magic seems to be in that pedal from the clips I've heard.
22. Holy s@&t! ............
23. 10kg? Surely you mean lbs my good man... Both blindingly lovely basses, btw!
24.
pm'd
Saw this ad and thought of you Kev!
