My own experience tells me that the wanted section is best when you don't have to search. I know that most times I've seen a wanted ad I responded to it was because it just happened to be on the screen in front of me. If somebody wants something I'm not using, I'll respond. I'll not necessarily start a for sale thread, especially for smaller items that aren't getting in the way. Moderation has basically robbed the 'wanted' section of all usefulness, while we wait for some sort of magic software solution to the trying to sell for free problem. The only thing wrong with the bongo design is the chipped headstock feature... Had 2, a 5 then a 4. Both HH. Unfortunately they didn't click for me, not sure why. I wouldn't put anyone off trying them, that's for sure. A damn shame people aren't more open minded.

Had considered one myself before buying my lb head from obbm and your lb cab Gareth. It basically boiled down to this: Amp looks the nutts, pricetag just looks nutts...

Bought a vt bass pedal from Pablo. Excellent as usual!

Had a custom 6 built a few years back. Just be absolutely certain you a) want/need a 6 string and that the specs are exactly what you want now AND, as far as you can tell, will suit you in the future. I'm a flighty git. I got exactly what I asked for, but by the time it arrived my tastes had somewhat changed (took almost a year from start to finish). My advice would be to buy off the peg if at all possible, even if you can't get exactly what you're after you'll get close enough that a few modifications will get you all the way there. Live with that for a while to make absolutely sure a custom is what you're after. Think of it as an intermediate learning step.

Precisions. Never liked them until I had a run in with a refinished '65 while on honeymoon in NYC. Totally changed my opinion. Couldn't be without one now!
