  1. I had the same rig. Still some of the best sounds I've ever heard!
  2. Straying from the black and blue aesthetic Dan?
  3. I think that was the Rat based Bass Distortion, was it not?

Ordered on 5th, arrived today. Not too bad given the state of the planet... Probably be a year before I even look at them though!
  7. The Lakland 5 is probably the best neck I've ever experienced
  8. Yeah we're going to need more detail on what's going on in there!

I'd love to do one of those. Do you have a schematic for your PSU?

When they arrive I'll let you know!
  11. That's nice... not sure it's £400 nice, but I'd have to play it to find out.
  12. The fandom are proclaiming it as the 2nd coming on Instagram...
  13. Not watched the whole video, but from the specs it looks to have exactly the same functionality as the B3Kv2... In a VERY slightly smaller package... Deary me...

Have to agree with @LukeFRC, the Alembic is based on the Fender Dual Showman preamp.

Busy while there... Built B3K, Vintage Microtubes and EQD Sea Machine clones and a Dunwich designed N.E.W. Bass Overdrive from GCI in the last month or so. While I like the Darkglass thing in moderation, 2 on the board and an AO900 amp is a bit overkill, so I have an Aion Maelstrom kit coming to cover both B3K and Vintage territory. Modulation isn't my thing but the Sea Machine might hang around for a while. REALLY like the Dunwich Bass Overdrive (Boss ODB-3 based). So much so I've ordered 3 other Dunwich clone PCBs from effects layouts for myself - Volt Thrower, ODB and Wizard Fuzz.
  16. The Behringer is perfectly acceptable. A great sounding, cheap alternative to the Sansamp. Virtually the same circuit, just cheaper components. Add a used compressor pedal (or Zoom multi-fx) and you've covered pretty much every angle.
  17. If shipping were an option I would have bought this the day it was first advertised!
  18. Source Audio C4 for sale. Not had this long. Sounds outstanding, but using an app for setting the thing up makes me sad. Going back to octave/fuzz/filter. Nowhere near as flexible as this but it's all I need! Boxed with leads and psu. Velcro on the bottom. £170 £160 plus postage at cost or trade for a Sansamp Bass Driver v2. UK sales only.
  19. Oh I feel a clone build coming on!
  20. Just saw this on FB: https://www.joyoaudio.com/product/235.html Clone of the MXR M87 apparently.
  21. Judging by my current love affairs I'd say a Vigier Excess 5 but with a passive P pickup...
